Well since today is such a nice day, and yesterday I bought engine cleaner while on the way to the meet, I think I will clean the engine and bay! But the last time some one tried to clean the engine bay he shorted the ecm out (at wich point he just parked it for 10 years) I was wonderin what I sould do so that it does not happen again?

make sure you dont get any water into the intake/carb...make sure the car is all dry before you start it or turn the key after washing it..
polishing compound works well on the paint under the hood...

also cover the distributor and anything else that you think will be effected by water

All right Im done looks good! I went to start the car and it started but was idling bad and stalled then I put the old air cleaner on (factory) and it was fine! could a edelbrock aircleaner assembly make it not idle?

Did you get any water on the aftermarket aircleaner? If so, that could be causing the stumble at idle. Let it dry out for a while and then try again....
