FPIK intake

has anyone ever heard of an FPIK intake setup? i have never heard of it until recently and i was wondering if anybody knew anything about it..and i was told that it goes for around $250. is that true?

"FIPK" actually

Its K&N's brand of CAI (i think) and yes ... they run a lot of $ but you can get a CAI way cheaper then that.

yeah its K&N's fancy name for a cold air induction, fuel injection performance kit, or something like that. ive got one on my car but i got it used for 150 less than list price, there are plenty of different brands out there, some cheaper. just stay away from the G2 setup if youve got a 4th gen. a cai kit is definitely something that belongs on your car. dont buy the cheapies on ebay, they wont fit, the filters are crap and you really dont want a "chrome" intake pipe under your hood soaking up heat, kinda defeats the purpose.

I Bought the K&N FIPK (fuel inection performance kit) And I can say that I am very happy with it but yes it is expensive (I believe it was closer to 300.00 at auto-zone) I highly reccomend it if its not too far out of your price range. If not the whisperlid Is a great start for easy HP boost!

especially if you make it yourself :D about $30 + man power or about $90-$150 depending on where you buy it from, but with that setup you also should buy the whisperlid, which brings you upto about the same price

well by his profile it looks like a 94' camaro...doesnt say Z28 or not but they used the same intakes as far as I can remember...i would personally say go with SLP...its lightly cheaper & IMHO looks better.

whisperlid is for 98+ fbodies...doesnt concern the older cars

the 98 and up cars have air box lids. the factory ones have a bunch of ribs in them and they dont flow all that well, so a bunch of aftermarket companies make ones that are smooth underneath and flow a lot better.
