My plans so far...opinions/advice?

6.0L LQ4 iron block, (4.030" bore) (Painted silver :D )
-Lunati rotating assembly:
4.125" stroke crank, 6.125" rods, -38?cc dish pistons(whatever
dish will yeild 8.5:1 C.R.)
-Dart LS1 heads, 62cc combustion chamber,225cc intake runners,
2.05"/1.60" valves, 1.290" single springs.
-YellaTerra 1.7 ratio rocker arms
-Comp cams pushrods
-Comp cams lifters
-Crane double roller timign set
-BBK 80mm throttle body(or similar)
-OEM LS6 intake manifold
-Aeromotive billet fuel rails 5/8" ID
-Ported LS6 oil pump
-MSD coils
-MSD plug wires
-ATI 1-DSC blower setup w/twin aftercoolers
-TCI balancer
-Pace setter LT headers
-x-pipe w/true dual exhaust
-Tuning by Bill :D (SD tune)
-2 bar MAP sensor
-OEM valve covers, oil pan, and engine covers

camshaft? blower application?
injectors? 50+lb?

Did I miss anything? I may have, its getting late. Build date will be between June '06 and Jan '07.

Some further vehicle mods will be a roll cage, ford 9" rear, carbon fiber driveshaft, Spec stage 4 clutch, and tubular front suspension w/QA1., etc.

i would say go with 60lb injectors currently...not sure of a cam recommendation...i would talk to some major cam manufacturers or there are a few people on ls1tech that give cam recommendations for a living...so thats another option.

how much boost do you plan on pushing? under 14psi get a 2 bar map sensor in that list, over 14 get a 3 bar.

i plan on running about 10-12 psi, nothing crazy

ok....so add a 2 bar map sensor to the list ;)

i woudl suggest sticking to stock ratio rocker arms and letting the cam provide the profile itself. it will keep some unnecessary strain off of the valve train.

whats the stock ratio? i thought soemone told me it was 1.7, and 1.8 was the upgrade. But i would use whatever stock is, just upgrade to avoid the needle bearing failure of oem ones.

The LS6 intake should be fine right? I assume with the force induction upgrading to a FAST manifold or wiened wouldnt show much gains. Same goes with the TB, 80mm should be fine right? I also dont plan on porting the Dart heads, just running them as is.

Now, heres another question, how difficult would it be to run the car N/A with this motor setup and tuned without the blower. I ask this because the setup will be supercharged, but it just may be a few months between the motors built and running and the blowers on. I know with the 8.5 CR i won't have full power, but will a blower specific cam hurt anything before i actually have the blower on?

It won't hurt anything, it will just be slow :)

why not just wait till you have the blower to use the car

For the cam talk to a pro, I suggest Mike at Rapid motorsports but there are many talented cam selectors. Stick with the 1.7 Rockers, the 1.8's and 1.85's can cause all kinds of clearance issues with the valve covers and heads Dump the BBK T/B. You can get the same from a ported 6.0 T/B for 1/2 the price or spend the megabucks and get the fast 90MM intake and T/B which is very good for a S/C application and also gives you the added security of the blow out panel the LS6 one doesn't have. Unless you plan on buying the computer software to work the MSD coils they aren't worth $600.00+ dollars over the stockers. Engine covers will need to be modified to fit the aeromotive fuel rails, again I recommend going with the FAST rails, they are cheaper and just as nice. If you do go with 1.8 rockers and use valve cover spacers make sure you get plugs wires for the TRUCK engine, the car one's will be too short from MSD (trust me I know this one!). Also i would highly recommend QTP headers and apart from looking cool there is no need for a true dual exhaust. Are you going for emissions legal? If not get an off road Y-pipe with a cut-out. I have the dual electric cutouts on mine but I am getting rid of them. Open they only made 4 more RWH then a magnaflow exhaust and the same as a single cutout. Also if you are looking for a long engine life be wary of the 4.125" stroke, the rod geometry starts getting pretty hairy there. I would sacrifice the cubes and go with a 4.000" and just pump an extra pound of boost into it if need be.
