not sure exactly what your asking but i'll try....

You want to pull the 9 bolt out of your car and put in a 10 bolt? Usually most people are trying to find the 9 bolts and put them in .. especially the 89 and up ones because they have the aluminum brake calipers.

But, if you wanna switch up the rear assemblies, they will bolt up physically. Every f-body from 1982-on had no changes in the rear mounting points.

Rob_ws6 has a 10 bolt with 3.73's but its from a 4th gen. To use it you would need 4th gen wheels.

yeah my 9 bolt is shot and the ring and pinion is so expensive that it would be cheaper to bolt up a used 10bolt ONLY if it will bolt right up.

10-bolt will drop right in. if you have discs now you can swap them over by gettting the appropriate 10bolt backing plates.
the backing plates were different from the iron to the aluminum calipers, so make sure you find the right ones.

How much are you $$ dropping on a 10-bolt? I have a 9-bolt I'm trying to get rid of. Check the classifieds. I'm negotiable on the price.

i have a ten bolt with 3.08s sitting at a friends house, but i would really like the 3.45 the 9bolt had stock. so if you can let the rear go for the price of a 3.73 gearset for my 10 bolt and the cost of a few hours labor. IDK you tell me what you want to get for it, it would make my life easier but its not a necessity as of right now.

Well mine is the 3.27 so I'm not sure if that'll work for you.

I would let the rear go for $250. It's complete, rotor to rotor. I'm not sure what year your car is but my rear is from an 89 so it has the good PBR stuff on it.

Let me know or make a counter offer.

It'll def. swap, I had a 2.77 posi rear 9-bolt, I looked for a while for a 3.45 9 bolt rear but they are rare and expensive..I bought a 4th gen 10 bolt with 3.42's and disc brakes for $200 shipped from contemporary corvette..everything was a direct bolt up..except the e-brake lines..4th gen lines are longer.

Go with the 9 bolt from Frosty.
