Or anyone that knows the LS1 pretty well. Just took the BadBoy out for a ride today, heard a tick coming from the top of the engine. Sounds like something is loose, Anyone know of a good mechanic in the area that knows the LS1 well? I think maybe something needs to be tightened up. Valve?? im not a mechanic, did have the heads, replaced last summer...so who knows.. Any help would be cool.

Thanks,

Sam

Does it do it just when its cold and go away once it warms up or all the time?

Also, I see your car is a stick, did you happen to miss a gear and maybe over-rev the engine... if so you could have 1 or more bent pushrods.

no it was warmed up. I dont think its a bent pushrod, could be though, Im sure I missed a gear here and there. But I had hardened pushrods put in last summer when i had the heads and cam done. But I guess we'll have to go in there and find out.

Try Sirico's on rt 46 in ledgewood (u should know where it is) and see if they can help you out. If not, you can take a 35 minute trip out to TTP in Clifton.
