I haven't been on for a while and i figured i'd let it be known that I hit 80 on 78 and came off, then made it down to my social club in summit where to my surprise the engine started banging and scared the piss outta me but at the same time was pretty funny. No oil pressure and finally after 137,408 miles shes dead. So now im just storing up a little extra money and im ganna see what happens. Im rocking the caprice but i'd like my camaro back before the nice weather hits.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Too much front weight makes the car handle like crap.

How about the shortblock 305 that's in my Monte? Rebuilt 25K miles ago, has a nice cam in it already. Swap your heads/intake on, and be good to go! I'll sell it for $300 delivered to your door, if you've got an engine hoist to pull it out of my Jeep.

Upgrade?!?! nah i ganna try and find a 350 somewhere, im in a tight budget.
Question how much horsepower can the 700R4 in there hold before it goes boom? I need to just save up money and stop going to the bar all the time. i got about 2500 in the car savings now. I refuse to touch my life savings because thats going toward something that will actually go up in value.....a house.
horsepower doenst kill parts, torque does. HP is just a number generated by a formula based off torque and rpm and maybe a few other things. supposedly the 87 and up 700's are fairly decent. I couldnt kill the one in my 87 L98 powered GTA  . you do have a lot of miles on it though. eff it, just toss another motor in and cross your fingers
i have a 87+ roller cam 350 block, bored .040" over with complete tbi 350 heads. The cylinder walls look good, with a quick honing and re-ring, youd be set. Im asking 250 if you're interested. (it has oil pan, valve covers, timing cover, crank, rods, pistons) no cam included.
