so i get a call from my buddy at 130am this morning sayin that he dropped off his GF's 00 Mustang vert at my mechaincs place to get an oil change today, he left the keys with the pump attendent and went out and on there way home the car was gone. they called me and the PD and they took there report. we noticed that the keys werent on the counter in the office where they had been left, so we assumed that while the pump guy was helpin a customer that someone snuck inside and took the keys and then stole the car between 10pm and 1am. everybody goes home and arounf 3am the GF's parents get a call saying the car is BACK at the shop and the gas attendent is inside, she goes and picks up the car and the attendent tells them his car was broken, that he works 60 hours a week and he wanted to go get something to eat, meanwhile there were 50 more miles on the car and a 1/4 tank of gas missing and he crashed into the snow bank while parking and when it got backed down tore the front bumper off and sratched it up. local PD will be arresting him later today and the damage will be taken care of

watta night, atleast it wasnt my car!

damn man that really sucks. i hope everything will be taken care of asap.

hahhahaha thats great. I could understand if the mechanic took it out to test drive it that ngith for a few miles if it was brought in for a problem, but the gass pumper..lol wow. Funny thing is when i looked at you friends 95 camaro there, i walked up the the car looked in it, opened the doors, and the attendent, who clearly saw me pull in and go to it, didnt say a single word, or even move from his chair. BTW is/was that your fox body stang sitting in back on the right? i pass by there all the time and saw it there like 2 weeks ago. And my gf told me she saw you driving the other day in your camaro, she was in a black monte ss with a 4" cowl hood.

nahh thats not mine, thats a dead 6 banger, mines parked on the side of my house waiting for shane to buy it lol. i do remember seeing a monte wiht a hood but didnt think twice or remember where i was

well, i cant say that sucks, because it could have been much much worse. The car was only gone for a few hours, and it actually came back without much effort. It does suck that it happened, but at least everything is gonna be taken care of.

To steal a mustang is just stupid. I'm sure he realized the err of his mistake and promptly returned it once he realized he had "borrowed" a steaming pile of underpowered poo. I can't believe it took him 50 miles to realize it, though..... j/k.... Glad everything worked out alright.

soooo quasar34 calls me before and goes "yo there arresting the gas pumper guy, and ya know why??" i reply "yea i was there at 2am after he stole mariels mustang!"

yea the river edge detectives picked him up this after noon in handcuffs and took him away, i gotta find out what the exact charges are..... official moron of the year!
