Just got my stuff in the mail from the test I took. Apparently I got 100% (40/40) right on the test  In comparison, my dad only got 38/40 right, it wasnt an easy test.

Nice job Melissa!

In other news, Tim and I almost brought the youth group to the track to visit today, since we drove past it on the way to Hot Dog Johnny's.

yep, pretty much anyone. Just have to have a track that will send you to the general inspectors meetings. I think they have the tests throughout the year, but the only one i know of was the one i went to in January in Hershey.

w00t I might not need the "permit" after all

ill be the first to say, yes you will

its one thing to let a car slide by with a couple dbs too loud on the exhaust or a couple 10ths past the cage requirements.....

its another to let a 14 year old with no lisence take runs down the track

its also another thing to carry a controlled substance at the track wtih out having a permit. That's a state offense. Sorry. Get the friggen nitrous permit.

And tim... It's gonna take more than 2.50 to bribe me.

congrats, and well if you didnt already tell me my shaved door handles were ok, id be bribing you for that... but as of now, im golden.
When i get the SS there(spring '07) im sure youll have some concerns with it and wanna check it all out, something which i wont have a problem with. Just keep in mind itll be the first time its been to a track and i really truely dont know what itll run so i dont know what will be required, but if im too fast i will leave and come back once i have all correct improvements/safety gear. BTW whats tech for a juiced bike? permit and deadman teather?

pretty much the same thing as non-juiced. Leather jacket, gloves and boots, leather pants over 125 mph, tether shut off. the book says "Commercially available nitrous oxide permitted. Bottles must be stamped with a DOT-1800 pound rating and permanently mounted (no hose clamps or tie wraps). Hoses from bottle(s) to solenoid must be high-pressure steel-braided or NHRA-accepted hoses. Commercially available, thermostatically controlled, blanket-type warmer accepted. Any other external heating of bottle(s) prohibited."

The permit thing is a NJ state regulation, so you have to go through the state to get one.

I should make a disclaimer, cause i have a feeling im gonna be getting a lot of questions. I'm more than happy to answer simple questions, but just as a preventive measure, if you need a lot of stuff answered, spend the extra few bucks and buy a rule book, they're quite handy.

QTPs are DOT tires, so no, they're not slicks. I run them on my camaro, no ds loop :p
