View Full Version : my Denali is back in the shop AGAIN...
dropped it off this afternoon, just a week ago i picked it up from there after not having it 6 weeks. now itll be at least another week. Now the problem is that the whole electrical system shuts down and comes back while im driving, it reset my clock and everything, and stalled a few times. battery terminals are tight so who knows, but who cares...now its a matter of time. I am in contact with a lawyer and sending him all the paperwork so far on repairs with dates etc. we'll be suing for either a buyback, or 3x purchase price(as stated in the used car lemon law itself). WHEN i finally rid myself of that POS truck...this WILL be its replacment...

so you're getting an Evo???????
lol, i was seeing if anyone would realize which car it was from... but yes, i was at the dealership on Wed, actually went to look at a new eclpise GT, but i asked about the Evo VIII and was told they no longer make them, now its Evo IX. I fell in love with the it right there, 286hp, 289tq, awd 6 speed,...and id be getting the MR edition which has all weight reduction factory and other special crap. Now i just gotta off the denali... soon...soon
oh, and the warranty..10 year/100k mile powertrain, 5 year/60k mile bumper to bumper, 7 year/100k miles corrosion warranty, and 5year roadside assistance.... that all means ALOT to me after the SS and now the denali, not to mention the caddy STS i had also which had issues..

You bought the Denali used, right? Do Lemon Laws apply to used vehicles? You're kind of at the mercy of whatever the previous owner did to the vehicle so I can't see how a dealer would be liable for anything. I hope you are able to recoup your costs but I would be surprised. Most used vehicles are sold "as is". Do you have a copy of your paperwork showing if you agreed to buying it "as is"? I know my paperwork shows I bought my 96 SS that way so I don't see how the used car dealer would be liable for anything.

i say go for it, the Evo IX are pretty nice cars (for imports).
how much are they going for?????
yes there are used car lemon laws and i bought it as a certified used GMC vehicle. when signing all the paperwork they had an optional form to sign waiving my right to sue in the future, thank god i didnt sign it lol. but yes, there are actions i can take. The truck has been in the shop almost 2 motnhs total since sept.

the evo9 is 31,xxx, the evo9 MR is like 36,xxx. but i know people that work there so ill get some breaks. Im just tired of not having a car to drive, i want new and nice, not a honda. i wont even consider GM now, and the new camaro...i dunno..
