And considering there were only 8 exterior color options. So if they did happen to break them up equally, 175 / 8 = ~22.

I've been trying to find a better breakdown. I've seen the 2002 model year broken up by color, A4 or M6, even with or w/o Traction Control. I wish I could find a build number for my car. I sent ASC 100's of emails without a reply. I remember reading they did the vert builds for GM...but I could be wrong.
In 1998 they made a bright purple metallic...not that dark plum purple. That's pretty rare. I think only 400 birds got that color. Mostly v6s.
And if my recall is on the money 1993 was the only year of a 4th gen bird that was available in yellow...excluding the pale yellow of the 2002 CETA.
BTW...see my sig for prod nums

I know - that's the problem.... its only the 2002 FBs that are broken down that way. I want that for the 2000 model year!!!

Yeah it sucks. You'll probably never find your build count. I emailed GM or Pontiac about some of the specific build counts and they said they don't have any records of it. Pretty pathetic if you ask me.

GM of Canada may have records that can help you. Vintage Vehicle services (don't let the name sway you) has records of many Canadian built and sold cars, including the 4th gens.
Give them a call in Oshawa, Ontario Canada is 905-644-5843 from 7:30am to 5:00pm Eastern, Monday to Friday. Ask for George, he's a nice guy.
