It's too much money, nothing is original (not that you could prove).
Nice description:
CUSTOM REAR 4 LINK ADJUSTABLE SUSPENSION. - Where? I see leaf springs & traction bars.
50 SERIES BF GOODRICH EURO RADIAL TA's - Old tires on a 2 1/2 year old restoration?
WITHOUT THE BENEFIT & PROOF OF THE STOLEN COWL TAG OR THE BUILD SHEET - It is just another Camaro.

but Im like 99.9% sure the guy isnt going for originality here. You need to think of it in the way of could you build that car exactly for $3x000? Im not sure I dont know what those things cost parts wise and what not.

and my dad bought those same tires about two years ago so its not that hard to believe...they were left overs

It's not a 512 BBC it's a 427 engine which is a '512' casting # block. No solid proof of it being a Z28 so it really becomes a an RS Camaro with some neat stuff. The car looks nice but is overpriced in the $30's.

it didn't take them long to move on to the second gens, huh? goddamn thieves.
WHILE IT CAN BE AUTHENTICATED AS AN "RS", WITHOUT THE BENEFIT & PROOF OF THE STOLEN COWL TAG OR THE BUILD SHEET, IT CANNOT BE DOCUMENTED AS AN ORIGINAL Z28. HOWEVER, DETAILS SUBSTANTIATE IT'S TRUE ORIGIN AS A Z28. BUT FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH, YOU COULD NOT HOPE TO GET THIS TYPE OF ENGINEERING & HIGH PERFORMANCE FROM THE FACTORY ANYWAY UNLESS YOU KNEW HOW TO ORDER A COPO. OR YOU HAD AN UNCLE THAT WORKED FOR BALDWIN MOTION, YENKO ETC. GET IT WHILE YOU CAN.
what's the authentication, then? what details is he talking about? there are too many things questionable on the exterior to make it an RS, and no proof that it was a Z-28. so, basically, it's a real flashy camaro that he wants to get paid on.
for my money, if he just called it a re-engineered camaro and then went on to show the engineering, it would make for a better story than, "well, i can't really prove it's an RS or a Z-28..." btw, anyone back then could order a 427 and drop it in their camaro. he makes it sound like some secret society complete with handshake and wax seal.

Sweet 'maro. Not really digging the custom center console, though. My first car was a '79 Z28. I'll have another someday.

Nice, mine was almost a 79 Z also but it was modified pretty well, and my parents didnt want my first car being super fast. So I just bought the Chevelle instead and built a 327 for it and its probably faster than that 79 was  The only difference was the 79 was pretty much ready to run and I most likely wouldnt have respected it as much as if I built the car from a pile of parts like I did with the Chevelle.

82-92 was third gen, so it would have to be a 79-81.

It is a real nice car. Just too much money. And I think that color is more orange & lighter than those pics indicate - a few have better light.
