get rid of the side exit exhaust (looks teh gay), get some better looking wheels, put some other color to break up the red in the front end, and you have a nice looking 2nd gen
edit: interior is weaksauce...

too much red, too much chrome. ugh. i think its hideous. i'm in the same boat as ian, if i don't like a 2nd gen its gotta be ugly... I HATE when people paint the entire front grill and head light bezel things... supposed to be black and chrome or blacked out. :rollseye: stupid people with too much money.

Well, read the whole ad, don't just look at the pics. That car was built in the '80s, and shown in the early '90s, when monochromatic paint schemes and gold/chrome were all the rage. Nobody gave a damn about turning a corner or stopping though; notice the stock brakes on that thing, and stock chromed front control arms.

Times have changed, and now we like the down-played look of appearing stock, with some mild accents and great acceleration/braking. Who knows where automotive tastes will be 10 years from now? It'll be interesting to watch the evolution of our hobby.

For me personally, I'd never invest that much money into anything except a house. I'm very happy being able to hop in the car whenever I want and beat the crap out of it. If my car was worth that much $$, it'd be in the same place that guy has it; a huge garage with nothing else around it, and it would never be on the road. Such a waste of a good car.

NO 2nd gen is worth that much

The guy is on crack.

imo, you can't compare that car to other second gens. it's a show car. it doesn't get driven, probably not even started (why it's not been on the dyno, i would think). it was built with one purpose in mind, and that's winning car shows. i think the car needs to be redone with current trends in order to continue to compete on the showcar circuit, which is probably why the guy is selling it. something like that would probably take another $40k or so to bring it up to date and compete with other showcars. hefty investment that you would never be able to realize (he's got $200k in it now...)

I know you can't compare it to today's standards but I'm just making a general statement. No 2nd gen is worth that much, at least in my opinion.

since when did Crane make heads and pistons and when did B&M make cams? Why on earth would anyone drop $200,000 into one of those cars? Those are by far the ugliest years. Real 2nd gens had chrome bumpers!

Wow...140k for that? It seems that the Camaro price has seemed to skip over the early 2nd gens. Ist almost liek they didnt make any from 70 to 78.

Bwahaha..this is funny

...won,t find these again they are almost one of a kind; 600 holley carburetors; engine 355 .30 over (heads by Crane)...

HOLY CRAP...600 CARBS!!

Bwahaha...yeah, loved that too. Gold? Not a metal when I think of Camaro. Maybe if I was in some super homeboy 24's spin'n, 12x15 inch subs bump'n, Escalade, but Camaro?
