my mom called grundy the other day and they said what i thought they would say. they will insure her but if anyone under the age of 25 is operating the car, they will not insure it. im 20 years old and my going to turn 21 the end of may. i figured because i was always an honor student in school, ive never been in an accident, and ive never gotten a ticket before, that they would maybe be able to bend the rules alittle. i thought that they might insure me as a driver under my mothers name and if i get any tickets they would kick me off. but they werent to fond of that idea. so my question is, are there and collector insurance companies out there that will insure me or insure me under my mothers name. i also have another question, do you have to have collector insurance to get the collector car inspection sticker. i have it regestered as a collector car, but i am under the understanding that they wont give you the sticker unless the insurance is collector as well. thank you for any help.

1.) To the best of my knowledge no one will issue collector's insurance to someone under the age of 25.

2.) To get the triangular sticker you need collector's insurance and a working odometer. You will NOT be getting QQ plates from this, that's a different animal.

There are several companies that didn't have an issue with insuring me (22 at the time I asked) but those companies wouldn't insure my car ('87) stating that it was too new. The ones that would insure my car, wouldn't take me.

Oh, I know exactly what you are looking for :D

Some people tend to confuse the two but you aren't, I was just making sure.
