YOU FREAKING SUCK!!! BLOCKED!
congrats, good luck with it, but what are your plans for the 86?..all that work you put into it.
BTW, youll love the 4th gen so much more than a 3rd gen but theres still something about a 3rd gen youll miss.

Its in the Electrical section. I think its in the second page... just ctrl-f "smokingss" and keep searching till u see the thread :-D

i didnt solder anything, i just jumped a wire between the two terminals outside the connector, and even put a toggle swithc tucked up under the dash so i could reactivate it if desired. i did that when i had my car like 3 months and 4 1/2 years later, i never had any problems with it.

I didn't know you did a toggle switch, NOW I'm finally interested in that mod.
Nice 98.... I wish I had two cars when I was 14 lol

ok, so is this one of your parents cars and they're gonna drive it til you get your license? or is the car gonna sit for 3 years? It's a gorgeous car, but i don't get this whole having 2 cars at 14 that already run. Usually if you get a car young it gets worked on until its drivable. Just wondering.

haha ya i know but i just couldnt pass up the deal i got. I got this car because of the deal and the 86 is not near being on the road yet i still have a lot of odds and ends to do to the car. And the 98 is going to sit for a year and a half till i get my permit but it has a good sticker on it so i might get it insured for the summer.

theres nothing wrong with buying a car when your young if you get a good deal on it.
and who says you can't work on just cause it runs, if he works just as hard with this car as he did with his 86 he'll probably have an 11 or 12 second car once he turns 17.
thats pretty dam cool IMO.
its none of my busniess at all, i'm just kinda curious where all the funds come from, I worked and saved for my car since I was 13, I just purchased my car back in september (I'll be 17 in April).
Very nice car by the way.

wow i guess theres quite a few young people on here, my dad purchased my 88 when i was 15 and he used it as his midlife crisis car and i got to work on it, the day before i turned 17 i paid him $5k and now i own it and he bought his firebird

Not to nitpick, but he'll have two faster cars unless you step your game up. The combo in his 86 should be good for at least low 13s, if not quicker. And the '98 should be mid-low 13s as it sits....
