and the weeds are growing in way too fast for this time of the year! I have patches of new grass that I planted in Sep-Oct that kept growing in Jan with the warm weather and has taken off again lately. I was just out in the yard and some areas are 6-8" tall and weeds are growing too! I might have to break out the mower tomorrow after work. Good thing I didn't put fertilizer down this past weekend or it might really be going crazy.

I think I have to mow a couple of those patches today. Should I put a yardstick in the grass to show how deep it is like snow?

Well, I really had to mow some of it. Guess how many pulls it took to start the mower?:-? I had to stick the yardstick in the ground about 1/2" so take that much off the height but I couldn't believe that some patches were over 12" tall! And I cut the yard the very last weekend in Nov!

Ahh memories. That backyard seems small now compared to what it was like as a kid....

No, but my aunt and uncle used to own that house. I spent a very large portion of my childhood there.

I use the same stuff Barry Bonds uses, it's all legal! :rollseye: Actually, I planted a bunch of grass seed in the fall because the grubs helped kill off most of my grass during the summer. And since it was warm until the first week in Dec and then got warm again in Jan it kept growing all winter! I can't wait to see how big the dandelions will be this year!
