hey i was wondering what you guys think i should get, i decided instead of putting the bullet muffler in place of the cat, im just gonna put a hi flow on there and put a cut out before it. the question is what one should i get? meaning electric or manual, im kinda leaning towards manual since i will most likely only be using it at the track and it will save me around $100 but then again if i just wanna be an ass an open the cutout while im driving the electric one would be good for that.
just wondering what your opinion was on this. ive also heard that the motors for the electric ones burn out kinda quick and that could leave you running around with an open cutout for awhile, but then again if the motors are only like $20 and theyre easy to install it might not be a problem...

from experience I will tell you opening it at the track will be a pita unless you bring ramps or your jack to jack up the car.

I have dual 3" on mine and love em', although DMH are bulkier than the QTP's IMO.
U can really turn some Ricers' heads. (lol)

bill did u have the cutout on your bird or your gtp? cuz i was talkin to kasey (or maybe john barb) and they think that there would be room to open it w/o jacking it up since its only 3 wing nuts

He has it on his GTP. His Camaro didn't really need one seeing as he had long tubes, ORY, and a Borla (open plate of course).

they both have it...but the camaro is on jack stands...you might be right though about being able to get to the fbody one...all the electric ones are is a cap per say anywayz...you can always get a manual & add the electric cap to it at a later time I could only assume. On my gtp though I cannot reach it without jacking it up or putting it on ramps.

i was just lookin at cutouts on jegs and saw this one: http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10002&storeId=10001&categoryId=13929&parentCategoryId=11529&langId=-1
do you guys think it would be worthwhile or crappy? i would think that it might have issues with sealing, j/w what u guys think about it....

Read the description carefully. It's made from cast iron. That thing will weigh a ton!

yea that was the other thing i noticed too... guess ill just go with the regular manual one from jegs $22! :D
just to make sure i need the 2.5" cutout since i have a 2.5" exhaust right? or since its going before the cat would it be 2" since i have stock (tubular) manifolds?
