I got my engine from scoggin dickey last year with a year warranty. late octover early november it started making oil disappear...about a month ago it was 2 quarts of synthetic every 500 miles or so, no blue smoke from the tail pipe, no leaks. I let them know when it first started, and in early february...to see if theyd honor my warranty. they told me they would just so long as i switched to conventional oil to see if it stopped. i did switch, it didnt stop. i have yet to recieve a call or email back (ive called numerous times) about them honoring the warranty. they pretty much are trying to dick me.

i was thinking maybe i should write a letter to chevy high performance about SD's customer service and the like. i know they advertise in there, so maybe i could get something to happen...what do you guys think?

I've heard too many good comments about them. Call them back. See if you can get a different number & find a manager type.

And maybe send them a registered letter with your issues.

:stupid:

As much as I would like to believe that a magazine like CHP would help, they most likely won't due to the advertising money that they bring in from SD.

okay wait this is weird im sorry to go off topic but my 327 makes oil disappear too. Its brand new (less than 1000 miles on it) leaks only a SMALLL amount i mean its like nothing but im always low on oil. I hope they honor your warranty and if they find out what it is please let me know!

isnt that funny. i post this last night, and today sititng in school i get a phone call...after not hearing from them for a month. wow.

if your 327 is brand new its understandable to make oil disappear until its properly broken in. my oil issue began when there was 6-8000 on the engine.

they told on the message they left again that "they arent going to hang me out to dry" with the warranty. nice.

That's great. Hopefully you will be able to work something out with them to minimize your down time.
