good drag radials

I'm looking into getting a set of drag radials for my car. I'm looking at BFG G-Force drag radials or the Comp T/A drag radials, but BFG doesn't have either on their site. Has anyone heard anything good about these tires? I'm looking at getting them in 315/35/17 Will they fit on a 17x9 wheel or will I need a 17x11 wheel? How much of a difference should those tires make in traction over my G-Force KDW's?

i had the comp ta drag radials hooked like no other, lasted pretty long too till i learned how to do stand stills better lol.

Hoosier Quick time pros- best hook least amount of tire life (after the first burnout this tire is basically a full slick =D)

Mickey Thompson Et Street Radials- Hook almost as good as the hoosiers last a lil bit longer

Bfg comp ta drags- Hook very well especially considering how long they last. (not as good as the hoosiers or mickey's from my personal experience (traction wise))

Just put on a set of M/T drag radials this week.. OMG they are great. I would roast my GY D3's on a launch. I could not break the M/T's at all.

I look forward to atco in a week or so, should be fun.

I've heard that the M/T DR hooks the best, but because they're so soft, they dont last too long.

they dont last very long at all if u daily drive them which i did they last about 4 months going average about 6 races that required a burnout every 2 weeks :p the quick time pros lasted 2 months same amount of racing bfg's got destroyed prematurely (ran over a box of nails)

My vote is for the M/T drag radials. They are awesome tires. My car is quicker on them than a Hoosier QTP and they are area alot more stable for street driving.

i have MT DR's and i feel like i wasted alot of money. yes they hook, but seriously, after one burnout and a couple races on the street, heres what they look like- might i add i only had them on the car for 2 days, i ran 28 psi (i didnt wanna kill my rear on the street) and i know i should be using lower air pressure but still.... And the road was smooth. all my other tires i ever had, including the BFG comp/TA radials never got this torn up!!! after the MTs get burned the rest of the way up, im going back to BFG comp TA's!

315s WILL NOT WORK WITH A 9inch wide wheel.

However, they work perfectly with a 11inch wheel. i had BFG compTA drag radials in that size 315 35 17 the hooked nicely and lasted pretty long too!

as a matter of fact, i am thinking of going with some 325 50 15 comp TA's when I get my prostars!

Do you have a linelock? Those tires are scuffed up bad, its not the tires its the way the suspension is set up and the way you are doing burnouts.

i know a guy who put 10k!!! miles on his M/T DRs and they didnt look like that. it was a Daily driver for him :lol:

BFG 315's will not work on 17x9's, Nitto dr's will . I would go for the Nittos, I'm not happy with the bfg's

Do you have a linelock? Those tires are scuffed up bad, its not the tires its the way the suspension is set up and the way you are doing burnouts.

I agree something is up with that. I have over 2500 street miles and 75 passes on mine and they don't look anything like that. Mine don't get scuffed up like that and I drive on the street with a spool.

I have not seen that happen to any set of MT's down here, you got some serious issues...

28 lbs isn't all that much pressure anyway. IIRC Little G runs his between 22-25 psi at the track and has no trouble with them.

i used to have bfg drag radials before my MT et streets, i liked them i ran the 16" tire on a 8" rim and cut a best of a 1.50 60 on them. if the car had more balls at the time i think it wouldve hooked still
