Entered myself in a burnout contests at thing we call street nights. I won, a scary win, but I won nonetheless. Nice 4 ft trophy, and 100 cash. Now heres the scary part. I started the burnout, they give you 60 seconds. about 40 seconds into it, my rear rotors started to glow, cherry red. When the 60 was over, I just let off the gas, and boom. Something undercar cought fire, and sent one big ball of fire out from inder the back of it. I pulled out of it, and then jumped out. I really wasn't that worried about it, untill I watched the video. Then I got a little shaken up. There is black powder from the flames all over the back of the car now. It was fun, but hearing the sounds of people cheering, walking away with a torphy, and money, I would do it all over again.

soo after cashing the 100 dollars, how much did you lose now that you paid the entry fee and will need pads rotors tires

Ok, heres the deal, I lost nothing. I'm a mechanic for a living, I got spare rotors, My brother works for a parts store, and the pads aren't even trashed. The tires, were the 16" take offs my brothers Firebird. So I don't have to replace tires, just rotors, and everything else is fine, just need to get my hands on a line lock.

$100?

Now you have worn tires.... worn rear brake pads... worn rear rotors.... and probably over heated your tranny fluid....

Not my thing.

Wel I'm the type I'll try anything once. I had fun doing it. Like I said, before I try this stunt again, I will have a line lock in stalled, so I won't have to worry about back brakes no more. Might not be your thing, but when you hear the crowd cheering, and trophy and money in hand, it's all worth it.

Pads are still godd, but the rotors are a little on the screwy side, but I have spare ones, I will be looking into the line lock. I never wanna see my rotors that color ever again.
