I hope you didn't refund them the money back before you had received the hatchback motor right?? Or do you mean they complained about it not working then you offered to give them a refund and you never heard from them again??
Either way since you were involved in a transaction with them you can go to ebay contact member info then Ebay will provide you with their registered mailing address and phone number.
If you didn't refund them the money back before they you recieved it i wouldnt worry about it then because it must not be that important for the person to get their money back
But i wouldnt give them anything until you have received the hatchback motor back and inspect it before hand also to make sure it was actually the hatchback motor you sent.
I had some one try that on me before i had sold a SLP 88mm Maf and the buyer complained that it didnt work so i told them no problem send it back ad when i had gotten it back they tried sending me a different one then i had sent. And the reason i had known it wasnt the one i sent was prior to mailing out the certain items i would take a razor blade and make the tiniest notch in the most hidden area of the item and i would video it on my sony cyber shot showing the notch then showing the item being packaged for delivery. So i repackaged the Maf with a disk of the video explaining what it was about and why i sent it back , Then i took it to the post office and sent it back as rejected mail saying i didnt order or buy anything from that person and they shipped it back to the person free of charge to me

Okay, well...since nobody else posted, and i'm a pretty avid eBayer, I sell a lot of stuff for other people...I'll try to help...Did you already send refund? In general it is a bad idea to refund without receiving the product back, for obvious reasons. If youhaven't sent the refund...hold onto the money...The ball is in his court now, and as of right now eBay can't do too much, There wasn't any feedback left...and no sign of a bad transaction, such as NPB, or Deadbeat seller...Just wait it out for now, you've tried contacting him...with no luck...hopefully you kept a copy of the emails for yourself. if not its always a good idea in the future to have an email sent to yourself as well...just incase any of the above have happend, you can prove to eBay that you tried to resolve the problem to the best of your ability, and hopefully retract and negative feedback that was left. Anyway as i was saying...If he sends back the product, you are then obligated to refund since you said you were going to. If he doesn't then just let it go. If he leaves negative feedback, then you go to eBay and prove to them that you tried to resolve the issue, in hopes to have the feedback mutually withdrawn...I know i wrote alot...but i do know quite a bit about eBay, If you have any questions pleasePM me...

If i sell a part, i usually wait several weeks to leave feedback, even positive, i just do a bunch at a time so its easier that way.

Now in your case, if he said it doesnt work and wants a refund, tell him to send it back, and you send him a full refund right away. So you did that fine. Now its up to him, if he doesnt get back to you or send it back, thats his fault. With ebay and/or paypal, if he claims he sent it back and you never got it, theyll ask him to provide shipping/tracking info. That usually settles that, As for the feedback issue, thats a little different. He can be a jerk and give negative, but i doubt it, he has low feedback and a neg would hurt him more than you. and if he even does, add a response to it and state "full refund offered, no response". I have a 279 rating and 2 negatives, one was a guy who used buy-it-now for a car and then claimed he didnt, and the second was soemthign damaged in shipping, it was insured but he never got back to me, so i left him a neg after he left it for me.
