OK...after thinking about this for awhile Ive heard alot of great things about the CC305 cam, so Im going to go with that, crane gold NSA rockers, but I didnt know what lifters and springs to get, I heard the new Comp Rs are pretty bad so I was thinking LT4 lifters? anyway any help is really really appreciated, and if anyone knows of a reliable shop for installation that would help too,

Thanks ALOT
Chris

I was actually debating lt4 hot, cc305 and cc306 when I found the 380xfi, I'm thinking about going that route. more hp then 305, more torque then 306 but looks like sniffer should still be good on a good de-tune.

Not true, the new Beehive style springs will work.

i am involved building a 1921 board track V Twin harley and it has that type spring they were interduced as early as 1909 i believe to the performance buss they are new but in 1914 harley with 30 lbs of closed spring pressure on the valve was racing around wooden tracks at 115 MPH the fastest car @ the time was around 25 MPH and max speed in a fighter plane was 65 in a dive hahahahaha jz

Cool facts! I recently saw a show about those bikes and the peole that drove them. They had some pretty big "man parts" to ride those things with nothing more then a leather helmet!

Your probably right, I really don't know how long the springs were around for car engines, I only recently starting hearing about the Beehive/Conical springs as an alternative to having to machine the heads to accept springs that can handle over 550 lift on the LT1 heads.
