We have a vynil guy in rou club abd he was wanting a test car for a design that he and i talked about. I saw a set of short hockystripes for 4th gen that slanted toward the front, but was way small i my opinion. Since my car is 13 years old and has original paint i needed full lenght stripes to hide, or draw the eye away from where the old pinstripe was. We screwed around with it doe about 4 hours. We tried straight back, but it was too thin up front and tapered to nothing way to short of the rear. So we tried fatter stripes, but they didnt clear the mirror and door handle and just looke crooked. So we took the original 1st gen Hocky design and exxagerrated the hell out of it. Made it swoop much further back and run much longer. I think it really breaks up the red sides and looks good. Some people think it is to exxagerated, but i like them and definatly think they are different. Definatly a good match to the swoopy and flowing lines of the 4th gen. Look for em on E-bay soon. LOL

Just had a member at FSFBA say that the stripes resmeble a Scythe. I think i call them Grim Reaper Stripes from now on.

No prob man, not everyone has the same tastes, which is good a thing. I wasnt to sure about them at first, but i think the definatly set it out from the crowd of 4th gens with side stripes

I really like the length of stripe going down the side of the car - looks good. I'm not to sure about the way that it bends and curves back at the nose though.
Overall they do look pretty nice Jay, and those centercaps are a cool finishing touch!

It would look a little smoother overall if they didn't have the squared off 90 degree bend at the front. The first gen cars had a nice curve to them that worked well. And being a first gen guy, they look too thick and go back too far for me. The wave parts looks fine, but overall it's too long for me.

I agree with Jeff, if it wasn't a 90 degree bend it would flow better, but it definitely makes your car stand out from the rest, which is a nice thing.

thanks for the comments guys. It will be interesting to see how they do on E-bay and at a few shows. The dude who installed them thinks they look totally different in person.

Anyone ever tried puting that nose stripe on a third gen. I always wanted to see what that would look like...

That's a hockey stripe, not a bumblebee stripe. I've seen that chop before, looks good on a third gen with the right color combo.
