Does anybody know which pads seem to work well and keep brake dust to a minimum? I keep getting a serious buildup on my wheel and the whole rear bumper area of my white car and it's getting annoying.

Well. I'm not sure if you guys have alot of autozones up there yet, but the Durastop gold, which are a ceramic pad, seem to work well on my brothers car. He was having the same problem with his, and we replaced them with those, now we need to do the back ones'. Or use the ceramix from Napa.

Hawk's HPS pads are supposed to be low dust, but I haven't had them on one of my cars yet.

I've heard a lot of good about the EBC (green) pads but I have never used them. Alot of people have put them on for the simple fact that they are supposed to keep brake dust to a minimum.

From personal experience at work low dust pads that you can get from parts stores that are good are the ceramix line by napa and the wagner thermoquiets..

I run the later on my TA all around and have gloss black wheels too

After doing some reading last night I saw a mixed result with the Hawk HPS pads. Some people were still getting a lot of dust with them. But most people that used some form of ceramic pad saw little dust at all. I hate to do just pads but I don't really need to improve the braking since the car is a ton better than my 4Runner already!

Jeff,
I do all my car's brakes with ceramic pads to keep the dust down to a minimum. I prefer the Wagner ThermoQuiet line, and get them relatively cheap at Rockauto.com. I've also used Raybestos QS(Quiet Stop) but noticed no difference in them except a higher price tag. Both of these have minimal dusting.

I got the Hawk HPS's front and rear , They dust a hell of alot more than i thought they would, and the dust is really hard to wash off my rim's it got into all the pours of the rims, so now i have to use some polish or something to buff them out, but mainly it is the front.

Jeff,
It's been a week since I put the Wagner Thermo Quiet pads on my Sebring convertible. I checked the wheels this AM and found no dust buildup whatsoever. In the past with the OEM pads(which I promptly threw out), I would have alot of dust buildup after a weeks worth of driving. My recommendation: try them, you'll like them.

I use ceramic pads on my car and find almost no dusting. Not sure on brand though.

Ceramic pads are low dust, but dont last as long.
We use Wagner ThermoQuiet pads at work, they are worlds better then the Raybestos crap we used to sell. 2 week squeelers.

I use the Hawk HPS on my 2002 Z and the dusting is not that bad.

When I do clean the wheels (chrome) Eagle One wire and chrome cleaner actually works extremely well.

Just my 0.02

... whole rear bumper area of my white car and it's getting annoying.

Get a black car and don't use the brakes....

All my brake dust is on the front wheels. Eagle One and water keeps them clean. You've seen my wheels...
