So in a matter of two days I had a skateboard from one the little kids on my block slide across and put two deep long scratches across my hood. I confronted them all about it but none of them will admit to it. Today I go to wash my car and find that somehow over night while my car was parked in the driveway something stuck my windshield and put a crack in it about 1/3 of the way across.

Mind you this all happens while I'm on my spring break, I just quit my job on Friday, my birthday is tomorrow and monday I go to take my driver's test.

I had put money aside to live off of until summer came so I could not work until school was out. Now I need to dump money away for a new windshield so I geuss I'll be looking for a job sooner than expected.

Just my luck....

Anyway where is a good place I should get a windshield from and installed?

Look in your area for a autoglass installer.they will come out and do it in your driveway.check with your insurance co they might cover some of the cost.

That ****in SUCKS dude... you must have a lot of self control, I would be in jail by now for asaulting a minor...

Here's who did my windshield, the price was good but I also got a discount cuz my dad works for cablevision and they do all of the windshields for cable, but it's worth a shot... diamond auto glass (i think theyre also called triumph auto glass but w/e, same company), 1-800-235-7487

try going through your insurance, they covered most of it on my buddys Blazer when I accidentally shot his windshield with a BBgun...

Depending where u are, try Red Bank Recycling. A friend of mine was going to get me a winshield there for 135 installed for my T/A. Im not sure if he was fibbing or not about the price, but you can try

thanks everyone.

my buddy mike (78camaro) also reccommended diamond so I'll be giving them a call today for an estimate along with some other places.

I don't want to file an insurance claim because the car was just put on the plan so i don't want to kick up dirt already. Insurance is high enough...

Try Diamond, and check Safelite Auto Glass to compare http://www.safelite.com/ - looks like you can even get a quote on line from a quick browse of their site. I had a windshield done by them years ago on my old '85 SS, worked great and was very reasonable. Course, the 4th gen F-body windshield is humongous, so it might be pricey. :D

We use diamond auto glass at work. they take the old winshield out and have the new one in in a matter of 20 minutes or so.

Keep all your receipt"s from all the repairs for the damage. You can deduct it when you file your taxes next year, They allow you to claim Theft, vandalism and other such loses, So maybe you might get a little bit of it back next year.
