Word on the street is New Jersey is going back to Self Serve Gas Stations and they are lowering the speed limit!
I guess thats good? Im defenitly looking for a bike now! You cant beat rediculous gas mileage.
lowering the speed limit? WTF????

Nah, lowering the speed limit will reduce highway gas mileage, most newer cars with overdrive get their best mpg at 65-75 mph. As for self serve, they might try it on the turnpike but that ain't gonna fly here in NJ. NJ gas prices are already lower than PA and they have self serve. So it's not gonna reduce the price of gas but it would create some insane gas station antics with letting people pump their own gas. These are all lamebrain political suggestions so our elected officials can act like they are doing something about it. What I don't get is how some gas stations can be 20-25 cents a gallon cheaper than others. Here in Mercer county most of the gas is around $2.95-2.99 for regular and $3.09-3.18 for premium. Going up 202 on Saturday they were 2.85 for regular and 3.05 for premium. On Rt 1 yesterday I saw 2.79 for regular and 2.99 for premium. We're talking less than 30 miles separating these gas stations and there's a 20 cent/gallon difference!

Heh...everyone go buy gas from my dad. As of yesterday his station was $3.03 for regular.... :D They were on the front page of the paper the other day (Picture of the little old guy named Om).
I found $2.89 for regular at the quick chek on the corner of 579 and 31 on Saturday.

Most of us shouldnt be talking about "regular" ... i have to look forward to 93 octane fuel :-\ 3.25 / gal

About 2.99 for plus here. Why would you buy gas at quickcheck, I try to only gas up an sunoco. PS 55mph is optimum fuel economy ranged for most cars not 65-75

Buying gas only at certain brand stations is stupid. They all buy gas from whetever refinery is cheapest/can get gas to them when they need it. My dad manages a Mobil station, and most of the gas they get comes from a Valero refinery. Same holds true for most other places as well.
