for some reason the driver side front fender has spider web looking cracks in the paint all over it....what would cause this? why would it happen only in that certain area? anyone else ever have this problem?
the fender was probably replaced at one point, and a flexing agent wasnt mixed in with the paint when it was painted. and after some time of the 4th gen rubber'ish fenders flexing, the cracks probably appeared. thats one possibility

i just had my bumper and fender re done, 2 months ago. Well the bumber cover is doing waht you have described. It is definatly a bad paint job. Not enough flex in the paint and the platic not prepped correctly. Thankfully after a lot of arguing with the shop and insurance company, the car goes back the 22nd to get re-fixed.. uugghh

sorry to hear. My Camaro never had any spider cracks in the nose cone, until one day after parked in Btown city I came out to my car and noticed my licenseplate looked funny. Someone backed up into me and the first thing i noticed was the spider webbing on my nose :-(

strange...since i have owned the car (third owner) i have never been hit....carfax reported nothing when i bought it....i think it was in a accident or something prior tho cuz the other fender looks a lil different in paint color from the rest of the body...very hard to notice tho....

depends on the cracks. The iroc has sort of spider cracks but hardly noticeable on the 1/4 panels. That was there when I bought it (caused by chemical reaction between different paint jobs) I saned it all down (stripping it to metal would have been the proper solution) and I see after some time it comes back, even after wetsanding/compounding (can only wetsand a car so much)
