El Cinco de Mayo ("The Fifth of May" in Spanish) is a national celebration in Mexico. It commemorates the victory of Mexican forces led by General Ignacio Zaragoza over the French expeditionary forces in the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862.

Went to Surf Club last night with a few friends. First off, I got there late, around 10ish, and there was a line and a half going out both the VIP and regular entrance. I didnt know it was gunna be this busy...Anyway, an hour and half later, I finaly get into the club and meet up with my friends. There was a Sublime Cover band (Bad Fish). Well, I found myself surrounded in a mosh pit in about 3 sec flat. Ive never wanted to hurl 120lb emo kids so far in my life. I grabbed one by the face and tossed him back into the crap.
All I wanted was to get a few beers, hang out with my friend before she moves out to PA for the summer, and have fun.
