What Happened To The Woodbridge Main St Cruise Night

:sad: In case you're wondering why you haven't heard when the Woodbridge Main Street 'Cruise Night' will be held, here's the reason, as told to me by the owners of 'Carpet Maven', the organizers of this event. It seems that the 'Chamber of Commerce' for the township of Woodbridge, needed to get a Rider on their Insurance Policy in order to have the event, and for reasons unknown to the owners of 'Carpet Maven', the 'Chamber of Commerce' has been dragging their feet on getting this task accomplished. Therefore, the owners of 'Carpet Maven' asked all those have attended this 'Cruise Night', and who'd like to see it happen again, to please call Woodbridge Township 'City Hall', and politely tell them that you'd heard about the 'Insurance Rider' problem, and that you'd like to see it resolved quickly, so that there will be a 2006 'Cruise Night' season. You can even throw in how you've enjoyed the event in the past, eaten in the local Restaurants, and visited the other Stores on Main St Woodbridge.

Please take the time to do this, the folks from 'Carpet Maven' have poured their hearts and souls into this event, and I'm sure you guys know how that feels.

i know a few people that go regularly to the Main Street cruise (we're only the next town over :-D ).


i hope they get this fixed quick....what am i gonna do on Monday night without the Cruise :scratch:

Do like they asked, call the Woodbridge 'Mayor's Office', and let them know how you feel. Discussing it here alone, won't help, lots of phone calls to the 'Mayor's Office' will.

Okay, if you haven't yet done so, and you'd really like to help make the Woodbridge Main St 'Cruise Night' happen again, then read the copy of the letter below, that I just received from the 'Cruise Night' 'Co-Chairs', and do what they ask of you in that letter. The letter even makes it real easy for you to help out, in that the phone numbers you need to call, are right at the bottom of the letter.

So come on folks, lend a hand, and when you need help like this, I know one person who'd at least do what's being asked of all of you here.

Dear friends and car owners,
There will be no May Cruise night on Main Street in Woodbridge. We are hopeful that there will be Cruise nights starting in June.
The Downtown Cruise is having insurance issues which we-have been trying to rectify since February. Woodbridge Mayor Frank Pelzman has been involved in helping the Downtown Cruise for over a month now. The Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce has been informed of the cruises insurance issue for several months and are trying to help get the Cruise Night going again.
Sherri and Leon Schwartz owners of the Carpet Maven have devoted over 9 Years as Co-Chairs of the Downtown Cruise. They are hopeful that the cruise will be around for many years to come and feel honored to chair the event.
