Just finished the install of one I got from CBRMike and dam do I like it alot! Some may think its kind of notchy but it defenitly makes me feel confident! I think it takes alittle extra muscle as well to row through the gears but that makes it feel real solid! Install was super easy and the actual product feels solid especially for being used. When driving the shifts were crisp and right on, shifting into 3rd was amazing, it just notched right into place absolutely no play and made me feel incontroll for once!

I would highly suggest this combo for anyone looking for a 6-speed shifter assembly!

Glad to hear you like it. I have the pro 5.0 shifter, but i dont have a handle for it yet, ill probably use my lou's short stick from my ss since it wont be on the road for a while(then ill eventually buy another). Hopefully my GF likes the setup as well, since she'll be the one driving it.

The stock shifter used to almost be level with the radio. The Lous Short stick is amazing!

I got the hurst billet witht he UMI short stick. I don't know if the lou's does, but the UMI aims the shift to the left....

the lous is straight i believe, and i liked it like that, and itll work even better in the monte SS now, since i really hate the 18degree tilt the 3rd gen T5s have. the straight up T56, pro 5.0, and lous short stick will work perfectly, finally i will be able to bolt down that console and itll all fit right.

Its about dam time you got a a pro 5.0! lol

did it sell you when I let you row through my gears? lol

I want to try yours next time we meet up cause I'm curious how much different the stock pro 5.0 stick is from the lou's short stick.

Might get a short stick if I find its really worth it.

the pro 5.0, what is it like in city traffic? My SS is an everyday driver so it needs to be confortable in everyday situations. Even the Lou's short stick, what is that like? Is the Lou's stick really a shorter throw? How short is it compared to the factory Hurst shift handle? I have a tendency to "miss" 3rd when i race someone. Not grind, it just doesnt engage, i think it is how i shift when racing, normal driving is perfect, but when i race i "miss" it. I'm loking for something with a shorter throw, but i dont want a 2" stick, lol. I also need somthing that is confortable for everyday highway/city use.

Please let me kno what u guys tink!
thanks!

The whole combo just really helped the car become more "user friendly" The pro 5.0 base makes the throws incredibly shorter and when you shift its a very solid & confident feeling. I haven't missed a gear since. It was one of the best investments ever. As far as the stock Pro-5.0 stick goes I believe it is the same heigh as the stock, not sure about the factory Hurst. The Lous Short Stick is probably half the size of both, and puts the shifter at a comfortable level with your arm.

What are you talking about? I haven't done a thing to my interior. I just have a head unit right now
