The HP and Tq are with a super charger man not stock lol... I think stock it puts out 620 and 650 Tq.. However a super installer who is gonna get the car says he will get 800 + Hp out of her... Total cost of build in that high HP range would be 24 to 30 K.... I know its a hell of a lot of money but I really want a car that is well one of a kind lol.....Also I want 8 sec 1/4 mile car so I got to see what i can afford and whats realistic....With all that I "want" it could be 50 K worth of work but if it can be done I might go for it and forget the new corvett I want.......

The car would probably drive like crap with a big block in it. I'd go for a twin turbo'd LS7. Keep the FI and make it something that you enjoy driving. Is it going to be a race only car or something you take out and cruise around in as well?

I would go with a single turbo'd or nitrous injected 402 LS2...you'd be looking at 1/4 the cost & the same performance.

i agree id go with the LS7 and twin turbo that bitch. , a big block is gonna be **** inthat car if u ask me that puttin what another like 250 pounds on the front prolly would ride wierd plus i would much rather own a 7 or 800 horse twin LS7 than a monster big block u cant drive on the street. u figure they get ls1's to run 8's and still be driven normaly the ls7 should be cake.

Youa re going ot run into all kinds of problems with either setup you are talking if it is for a 4th Gen. I don't know if you looked under the hood but a 572 most likely won't fit without cutting out the wheelwells. As for the LS7 you will have to re-work the heads to put turbos on it or you will end up with like a 14:1 CR, you are talking 110+ octane all the time. And don't forget the dry sump oiling system. I would get a low compression 402 LS2 engine (lots of places have them making over 500RWH now on high compression style) and then go forced induction on it. You will have as much or more power then either of the other engines and still have an extra $10,000 in your pocket. The only reason to pay for the LS7 over a built LS2 is if you plan on keeping it N/A, it isn't designed for boost.

or he could with the money, build the bottom end up on the ls7 better with some lower compression forged pistons to handle the boost and be makin crazy numbers, even if u get a ls7 and keep it n/a people are making like 550 at the wheels cam only and like 650 withsome more stuff
Thanks so much for all the feedback guys....I now have on order a LS7 with all the add on's and computer cost a little over 22 K... My bird is in the body shop now and its gonna get all minted up and engine will go in over the fall... I am taking advise and gonna go with heads and cam for the LS7.. I am sure I will do more later but for now im happy....
I should be putting down 580-650 Hp mabey more... Tq should be very good.. We will see how it all pans out but the engine will be solid and its Gm's best for now....
Again thanks to everyone who chimed in........Anthony.............
the aftermarket has heads that are better than the stock LS7 heads? I'd use the stock heads but get them ported more.
Hay I agree but my installer says aftermaket heads are on the way from a few places... So Im gonna wait and see whats out when engine is getting installed... I might port the orig heads I just have to cross that road when we get there...Anthony.....

have fun tuning...I've heard of people running into issues trying to tune the ls2/ls7 motors when they are swapped into fbodies...just what I've heard though. You'll probably end up better off just using your stock computer or a DFI system.
