Just want to acknowlede Matt and his staff at TTP for Dynoing the car yesterday. Due to the weather I missed the club day, but Matt was understanding and let me come down yesterday and dyno.

Found out my car has some issues and as a result my numbers were lower then expected ( 458HP, 445 Trq ).

PS, Matt didn't even charge me for the oil clean up after the car made a mess!

TTP = Great guys to deal with, and Grandmom was a great hostest too!

those are pretty good numbers.
what issues did you find that need work?

Tuning is off. This was the mail order tune from PCM4LESS that was basically a guess, and it is real rich, when up into the higher RPMs it was blowing black smoke like a deisel. The A/F wasn't even showing on his meter( only goes to 10.1), Matt said he'd guess from the amount of smoke I was probably 7.1 or 8.1, like I said, way rich.

This was the first time the engine had been held at WOT. First pull was 428HP/417 TRQ, second pull was 458HP, 445 Trq, so maybe the Computer was learning 100% throttle as well but it jumped 30/30 right away? But on the second pull it starting puddling oil under the car and smoking, turned out the dipstick tube I had to customize to clear the sprayed main caps isn't seated very well and the oil was spraying out onto the headers.

My main goal was just to make sure the car wasn't running out of fuel, it aint doing that! Once I get the oil leak fixed I'll take it to Numidia and dial out/ remove the FMU. Alvin said I probably won't need it, but I left it on to be safe. I'd rather be way rich then lean.

I'm not sure how much boost the SC is making, might be some belt slip, dryer hose collaping, or maybe it's just max'd out? We did pulls to 6000 RPMs, and the chart shows the car pulling from 3000 to about 5600 in a straight line, then it starts to fall off.

Not sure how being that rich will kill HP?

rich will kill top end a lot.
basically what happens is that since the fuel takes up sp[ace as it goes into the engine there is not enough room for all the air you need. it will end up acting like you ran out of cyl head volume, which it would sound like it did since the power band went basically flat.

Let us know what Alvin says when you talk to him....

Nice to know that he erred on the side of rich for ya :)

Yup, they are pretty damn good!

Done some work on my little v6 and I love the dyno days they run.... NO ONE can beat them at it!

i think they only deal with the flash programmable computers, nothing prom based that i know of.
check in the power adder section of TGO and see who people suggest or just call up pcm4less and see what they can do for ya.

well the fmu itself is going to clamp down on fuel pressure and attempt to make you go rich...its obviously doing its job. Im just wondering if hes got enough injector to support ~500 rwhp with no fmu on the stock fuel pressure.

I have the 255 intank with the boost-a-pump that is said to be good to 600 HP, currently I have 42Lb injectors, we were worried they may not be large enough, which is another reason Avlin set the tune up rich.

I pick up the new Dipstick tube today. I plan to get it installed tomorrow, then data log a run and send that and the Dyno daya to Alvin and he will made the adjustment
