View Full Version : need ASAP, LG4 EGR gasket...
i need an EGR gasket for my 85 305. One of the two broke in half, i tried autozone, they didnt have it, and i'm car-less for a short time so getting to another parts store this week doesnt seem to be happening. I may have to just install it with the broken one and see if i have any hightemp red RTV left around. Even if you have an old one thats in one piece let me know, locally preferably, since if i do find a ride/car i couldnt go too far.

if u have any thin aluminum sheet metal u can make a gasket out of that.be sure to use atleast 065 anything thinner will burn out
dealer may have it, but a 21 year old gasket...who knows. i guess that why autozone didnt have it, not very common to sell.
im actually so annoyed with always having down time with my cars, ive decided to buy a dedicated daily driver... 2.8L FTW, haha. i should have it by the end of the week.

lol, ill pass. i need at least 1 car where i wont mees with the drivetrain. its an 86 camaro, clean interior, aftermarket ground effects(nice) and runs good. I actually bought the car about 2 years ago, then decided i had too many and traded it to my neighbor for the 351w thats for my bronco, The car sat since and i'm getting it back. needs paint and a windsheild but not bad at all. put some z28 wheels on it, custom paint job, iroc taillights and good to go.
