youre saying only half of the engine is running thru the turbo????
:stupid: Twinturbo FTW??!

I certainly hope that's not what he meant. If so he's in for an unpleasant surprise.

the turbo runs off one bank of cyls, the whole engine is turbocharged, ull see soon as i get the pics up.if i wanted to run the turbo of the ex gas from all 6cyls i would have needed to get one with a very large ar on the hotside

No offense but you're probably never going to get that thing to run right only running off of one bank.

Yeah, you need all the cylinders feeding the turbo because that creates backpressure. With just one bank feeding the turbo the engine will be totally unbalanced with engine load and backpressure. That's why the Buick and GMC turbos have one side cross over to meet the other side.
Just buy another turbo and feed it to the other bank... :-D

Yeah its definatley never going to run right. On one side youve got little to no backbpressure, and on the other youve got much more back pressure, plus heat. You HAVE to run a turbo off of all the cylinders (6 in your case) or it will never work.

the turbo is small enough to run off one side, was told it will work, but if i have to ill either modify the headers so they merge,or im just buying a second turbo.anyways im off to the trucks
edit
**** it im doing twin t04e 's :)

Whoever said that is really reaching there. Do it the right way, either run a crossover pipe or get another turbo. :)

it was a bad night didnt make it to far and i get pulled over, got tickets for ex system, unsafe viechal, and for the 4 inch cowl hood, and the bastard of a cop tried to tow my dam car.i cant wait the few more years for my cars to be eligable for hotrod plates, though the limits on milage with those suck
i deff need a beater to drive.
anyways this wekend im gonna make my new headers and run the crossover pipe, turbo wouldnt make more then 5-6 psi with an 8psi wategate spring off the one bank, though i really didnt push it to hard cause im running a lil lean
Tru2Chevy

What were the reasons for the tickets?
Why don't you just get collectors registration on it? 3k miles/year limit, inspection = "Does the odometer work?" :D

well 4 ich cowl hood = obstruction of view
my ex system is dam loud no cats bullets and turn downs
and the unsafe car becuase the cop felt that the car didnt belong on the street
from what ive been told the harwood hood is only 3.5 inch on the sides so i may be able to beat that ticket
the ex system ticket i just have to pay
and im fighting the unsafe viechal ticket cause the car has a valid inspection sticker on it,though in reality it isnt street legal
collectors/historic i cant get the cars arent old enough, and i think ur limited to driving to and from car shows/racetrack and only allowed to really drive the car on sundays, with hotrod plates u can drive anyday of the week, but 3000 miles a year(easily fixable) but my 3rdgens arent old enough for that yet 25 years old i belive id have to dbl check

collectors isnt vehicle age limited...and with QQ tags you CANNOT be driving it anyday of the week. It is supposed to be to/from a show however this is not usually enforced. I have never heard of "Hotrod Plates" either
Tru2Chevy

Collectors isn't age related at all, but you do need collectors insurance.
Owners of a modified antique automobile manufactured before 1949 registered in a New Jersey street rod club, an affiliate of the National Street Rod Association, Inc. may apply for a Street Rod plate that costs $15. Call MVC at 609.292.6500 or (toll free in NJ) 888.486.3339 to request an application.

The triangle sticker is for collectors tags. Limited to 3000 miles a year.

So, you have a turbo 3 cylinder in this car????
This is why I thought 12's/ 13's might be a bit more difficult than you originally thought

right now it is,thats how the other kid is running his and had good results,he didnt use a crossover till he put the t61 on,im seriously debating on getting a second turbo red labeled to me,along with a dual inlet fmic, and another wastegate.but i have to make sure that twin t04e's wont be to large which im thinking they will be.even off 3 cyls i got 5-6 psi with an 8 psi wastegate spring in,ive just got to do more calculations on the compressor maps to see if id have to swap to smaller turbos to do twins

with QQ's, you're limited to and from exhibitions and shows AND pleasure driving. Well, hell.. thats ALL i do ;). I've never been quesitoned about why i was driving the car when i've been pulled over, so i doubt its enforced, but if it is... its pleasure driving.

well the verdict is in
im going twinsim gonna lose a lil efficency(74%to 65-70 ish/but the intake charge should run alot cooler with twins over a single turbo setup, this is gonna be hell to plumb though since i have to do a draw threw maf.so the problem is gonna lie into running the dual 3 inch turbo inlet pipes into one so i can hook up the maf
alright time to call up and place my order
