must be a 2001+ block, possibly 2000+, must be new or mint. And i will have a machine shop inspect it to make sure its good. Let me know if anyoen has anything or where i can buy a new block from a good, reliable source. thanks.

the #1 cylinder has rust in it, no other cylinder, so i dunno if the bore got messed up. The hole in the side isnt too bad, but i dont think i have the missing peices anymore. I'm using a whole different block setup in my SS, but im using the spare parts from the blown up ls1 and from another trashed ls1 i have, to build a stock engine i can drop in some future project.

a decent size chuck is missing...

ehh thats nothing u should see some of the keith black hemi blocks ive welded up,and u dont need the old pieces to weld a block back up,we put new material in.if ur gonna toss that block find out if the bore is ok,if it is i may take it off ur hands,u can use an sos/brillo pad to get rid of the rust,or a green scothbrite pad with wd-40

the bore may be ok, How much would it cost to fix/weld up? where the main caps bolt up are still pretty solid, so its not that much of a structual piece, but i still am not sure about feeling comfortable with a repaired block, i never looked into it before.

but eh, its most likely going to the scrap yard next week, its worth maybe around like 40 bucks in scrap value, and i have another ls1 block to scrap as well, those plus some loose aluminum i got equals about $100 (last week i got $25 for 2 aluminum rims and this block weighs quite a bit more, lol)

id have to see it first hand to get u a price on repairing it,i cant even tell u if it is repairable without seeing it first hand, price would depend on just how much welding and machine work id have to do,which usually isnt much machine work just enough so that the oil pan rail is flat so the oil pan dont leak
