***For Sale*** (http://www.1994-TA-GT.blogspot.com)

Growing up is a real pain! I'm house hunting now and looking to sell my toys. I'd probably be selling them anyway, since I'm just not as into the hobby anymore. It IS still fun to rumble down the street... that never gets old, but I don't have the time to enjoy it and now I have more pressing responsibilities.

The price is obo. Be sure to contact me with any questions directly by the e-mail listed on the link.

so youve never had it at the track?

No, never tracked it. Got in a bad accident in my C5 in 2003 and have to admit I've been skiddish since then about really pushing it. When I finished the TA it was almost a year before I finally made a balls-out, hard-shifting run with it from a stop. Before and after that, I've been quite happy to cruise it with part-throttle. Not like it doesn't intimidate the hell out of most everything else on the street anyway.... come on, it sounds like an uncorked nascar, rolls on 315s, and growls with the slightest touch of the pedal. It keeps me happy. =)

These days I get on the TA late at night when no one's around on an empty stretch of highway, but I've never been a racer or track person. In fact, I've only been to the track once in my life and that was with the C5 prior to owning the TA. On a 100% stock 2000 C5 coupe w/ 6-speed I managed to click off a 13.0 @ 109.52 at Lebanon Valley. I thought it wasn't too bad for my first and last time ever on a track... but SO close to twelves I was drooling. LOL

If I were 20 and owned this Trans Am, I might be more inclined to drive the 150 or 200 miles to a track and beat the car up a little on occasion. But at 27, driving around in one of the meanest cars on the street is no longer a driving force. Someone else can do that. I hate to admit it, but I'd rather get something with a drop-top and an automatic and just cruise around with a good couple of cd's. I'd never have thought I would think this way, LOL. I mean, come on! I hand-built a custom sleeper LT1-powered RS with intent of putting 650rwhp through it with a blower, then I got the Trans Am and turned it into a Naturally Aspirated street beast and corner carver.... so no, I never thought "today" would come where I was saying (as if with a lisp) "I think I jussst want to cruissse today" LOL

Getting older really DOES suck. Besides, shifting has become a pain. Literally. I tore up my right shoulder when the Corvette did her swan song into the telephone pole. I don't recommend you try it!
