View Full Version : What should ya do when a ricer gives ya props?

After finally solving some carb problems, I was able to take the AMX out for a lil' cruising today. I did my usual route down 22 to the 7-11 in N. Plainfield and got myself a Slurpee. Then later when I was back on 22 I had to stop for a light, and there were a few cars in front of me. Then low and behold, a riced out Acura pulled up in the next lane. I looked over at him and he yelled out "NICE CAR," and gave me a thumbs up. Now what to do in this situation?
Flip him off? Ignore him? Yell back "Thanks, too bad I hate your car!"? I ended up just nodding at him and put my eyes back on the road in front of me.

ehhh just do what ya did...a thanks or a nod and keep driving. Itll most likely piss them off when ya blow them off without saying anything about their car in return. Silly ricers.

The Slurpee was long gone at that point. :)
He probably just like all the stickers you got on your Mustang or Camaro or whatever the hell it is. you did the right thing though, acknowledge the remark, but dont say anything about their car.

Well Bob, it would depend...
If said ricer said "Nice Mustang", then you kill him or her
If said ricer said "Nice Challenger/Charger", you flip them off
If said ricer said "Nice Camaro", you just nod and say "Its a Mustang"
If said ricer said "Nice AMX", you smile and say thanks.
lol, ricers are people too, just with an impaired sense of style.

i had a guy in a riced out accord tell me my car looks flawless and my exhaust sounds awsome.... i did pretty much the same thing nodded said thanks and went on my merry way... i dont care who its from a good compliment is a compliment at least they arent to ignorant to compliment a decent looking car like some ricers just cuz its american
the other thing is a lot of the young kids with semi ricer cars (not gay body kits ect) actually wish they could have a muscle car i know 99% of people i know with imports do they just cant afford the insurance/parents wont let them buy it while they are living at home

rich your car is sweet, and the exhaust it sounds pretty bad ass, I was kinda mad I couldnt hear it while we were driving. Ehh ya can always get the classic one i got from a bunch of ricers Bob. <at the gas station with the chevelle (where else)>

Bob,at least some snooty bastard from princeton didn't roll up next to you in a completely stock old vette (bias plies and all) and say "thats not the original color now is it?" :lol: I would have murdered that guy :nod:

ahahaha oh my god I was about to kill that jackass. My dad got a kick outta that too, when I told him he was in shock that I wasnt in jail. good times though.

that was a great story.... id probably just about be going to jail right now cuz they woulda found his body with one of those bias plys shoved up his ass
*edit* and thanks for the compliment jon but the chevelle is sweet mine is just decent until i get a lot more stuff done to it

np man. I really gotta get that car out again, I just have been gettin owned by work and school, and the new house and all that I cant get it out of the garage. Hopefully once we move and all and class will be over for the summer Ill get it out and about again. Still gotta get (and then in the car) a 4speed. Then we can go cruisin again man. Ive been dying to lay some black marks out on the road lately.

my best friends that live across the street from me all tell me how much they love my car and 3 outta the 4 of them have imports
