Here is the dilly-o...
Next Sat {6-24} is the date of one of the biggest AMC shows around. It is at Cecil County in Maryland. Last time I had my car down there it went down on a trailer, and I want to take it again this year. But my towing connection might not work out, and the other option is to drive it. I'm a little worried, due to the fact I've never driven the car that far. But it is a pretty streetable set up with my O/D trans and highway gears in da azz. And if I drive down I'm looking to convoy w/ 2 other AMXs from the area. So, wadda ya all think? Should unstable bob be TAKEN IT TO THE STREET?

Cecil's a nice track. I say go for it, worst case scenario is it comes home on a flat bed or you need to wait on the side of the road if it gets too hot in traffic. As long as its pretty streetable i don't see you having a problem.

I just ordered a wheel n' tire to use as a spare, so I guess I've made up my mind about how I'm gonna get there. :) Just gotta figure out where I'm gonna fit tools and stuff. My trunk space is all take up w/ my fuel cell, my N20 bottle sits where the rear seat should be, and my passenger seat is prolly gonna be filled up w/ a passenger.

DRIVE IT!!!
trailers = weaksauce

your car runs good and the drive to cecil involves very few spots that you could actually get stuck in traffic. it is all highway driving other than the last 3 miles or so, and there is only 1 traffic light to wait for on that part of the trip.
there is no reason to believe the AMC will have any troubles man. go for it!

Another vote for driving it. I have taken the 4:10 geared, broke ass th350 car out to Hershey, chauffer (sp?) for a wedding in West Chester PA, and all over NJ in the dead heat of summer, it gets a little warm, not too hot, but its worth it. If anything happens, im pretty sure there will be many members along the way down in Jersey that could help ya out, get some phone numbers or something of people that live along your route of people you could call if ya had a problem. Im pretty sure there would be many people that can lend a hand, and if not call me up and I will come help out!
