Ah yes, another money pit! Did you know that the air cleaner is unique to the 1970 L78 cars and if you can find an NOS one, they sell for close to $2000!
nice car! how much did u pay for it if u dont mind sharing.

No. It also has the wrong rear in it, the wrong heads, the wrong Holley carb. But it comes with the right heads dated almost perfect. My plan is to not spend any money on this car until the JL8 is done. Let's just say it was around $25K. The car is 1 of 600 made with the L78 engine in 1970 and it has the original motor and GM of Canada documentation. My 69 JL8 car is 1 of 206 made and it has the original motor, trans, rear and has the broadcast sheet and the protect-o-plate. I think this L78 car will double in value in a year so I wanted to grab it while I could afford it. My 401K is hurting right now from the loan, but I'm paying myself back the interest so it's not too bad.

The car just showed up and it's now safely in the garage. I need to clean it up some, it got rained on pretty good yesterday. It's not a show car but it looks decent. All I can say is the clutch is stiff! I pretty much need the seatbelt to hold me in place!
