I think I shorted out my low coolant light while bleeding the system. After filling the rad. I drove it about 30 miles and now the light comes on. The temp. gauge works and the car runs great and both rad. and over flow bottle are full. I wont be able to replace it for a couple of days. So my question is will it affect my car in anyway? I don't know if it also sends info to the PCM.

mine has been on for months... its wont affect your car, its justa stupid sensor that goes bad, thats all. its crap. unless the light bothers u just leave it like that...

yeah my light went on, and I just disconnected the sensor connector and the light went out. Easy fix...Or you can go buy a whole new sensor and try to get it in there, but I opted the cheap and easy way.

yeah they go bad alot, drove me crazy trying to figure out why it said low coolant but it was filled. Disconnecting it was the easiest way to solve the problem.

usually its the dexcool "gelling" up on it and gives it a bad reading .... mine did that, cleaned it and all is well
