atco's site doesnt have it on there
i was curious here, since i hear something different for every person
when does the track enforce the requirements?
for example- i heard if you run a 10.99 you need a roll cage, among other things
what are the requirements for 12s, if any then 11s, and then 10s? i gotta clear that up with some of my friends

they aren't listed on track websites because its NHRA enforced, and in some cases, NJ enforced.
to run 11.50 and slower you need just a helmet (snell 95 or newer), pants, t-shirt, seatbelt, and obvious safety equipment (that would come stock) on your car.
at 11.49 you need a rollbar and a firejacket (3.2A1 is fine) I don't remember off the top of my head what time a ds loop is needed (possibly anywhere in the 12s), but its definitely needed at 11.49, or any time you run slicks.
i dont recall whats needed at 10.99, ill look it up tomorrow, i'm pretty sure 9.99 is when a cage is needed, so you don't need to worry about that yet.

Verts - anything faster then 13.0 -need roll cage
Cars faster then 12.50 need DS Loop
New for 2006 11.50 and faster need roll cage (2005 was 11.99)
FireJacket needed for 11.99 and quicker.
If battery is mounted in the rear and quicker then 11.99 it needs a shut off switch.
New this year @ etown - all towed cars must have water in the radiator (no more anti freeze allowed)
Etown is strict with the rules.. Atco wear a helmet and your good to go.

Never the rule.. Most stock fbodies and vettes ran 13's from the showroom. It was always mid 12's and quicker..
You could fight the roll bar rule with the 02-04 Z06's. Some did get into the 11's STOCK.
Here is a link to some other tracks rules from last year.. Most track follow the same to be NHRA sactioned. If you want to follow the saftey regs and updates you should send for a NHRA rule book.

all of the 11.99 rules got moved to 11.49, when they moved the rollbar rule.
as far as some cars running faster than that stock, if its stock from the factory none of the extra safety is needed.

i believe it is 13.99 on slicks a loop is needed and 13.49 on street tires..then as stated before the 11.49 rules

i think any car on slicks is supposed to have a DS loop.
the 12.50 also adds extended wheel studs i think

Any car on slicks running faster than 14.0 needs a loop. Any car on street tires running faster than 11.50 needs a loop.

As long as the car is 100% showroom they can run purestock and not need any of the added saftey equipment. Put on a chrome lug nut and your not 100% stock. This is how the Z06 etc can run without the cage and such.
Faster then 135 MPH or lower then 11/49 is when you will be required to go into aftermarket and saftey parts.
What i can remeber:
6 point Roll BAR + Padding + harness 11.49 ( hardtop/ T-top) ( 13.0 for vert) , Roll CAGE 10.99 or lower is a cage. 9.99 your into a whole new game!
DS loop for Slicks 13.99 or lower ET.
DS loop for street tires 11.49 or lower.
General 11.49 to 11.0. 10.99 - 10.0 below apply plus more!
For aftermarket wheels the stud must engauge 1/3 past the lug's diameter.
( Ok, not 100% on this one! )
After market seats must be bolted to floor and roll cage
Battery relocated, or 9.99 or over 135 MPH requires a master cutoff
11:49 to 10.0 or with an aftermarket SC or Nitris requires driver to wear SFI fire jacket
135MPHor over = parachute
There are rules for flywheel, harmonic balancer, transsheid etc. All of which have expiration dates just like helmets and harnesses! $$
I have the NHRA rule book somewhere. But good freaken luck trying to figure it all out! NHRA certainly did a great job of confusing the crap out of things.

haha, actually, if you read the first part of the book that says 'how to use this book' it breaks it down and the way they wrote it is pretty ingenius ;) It's simple when you know how it works, otherwise its like trying to read heiroglyphics.

Oh, so it's like when you're SUPPOSE to read the instruction before you put something together? Then I wouldn't have so parts left over. :-P
I'll have to try that if I can remember where that dang thing is?

It is mandatory anytime the battery is relocated to the rear of the car.
