THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW.

READ ON--

Why didn't George W. think of this? Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even be good for us!

The Saudis are boycotting American goods.

We should return the favor.

An interesting thought it to boycott their GAS.

Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.

Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends.

I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil :

Shell............................. 205,742,000 barrels
Chevron/Texaco......... 144,332,000 barrels
Exxon /Mobil............... 130,082,000 barrels
Marathon/Speedway... 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco............................62,231,000 barrels
If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION!

Here are some large companies that do not import Middle Eastern oil:

Citgo.......................0 barrels
Sunoco...................0 barrels
Conoco...................0 barrels
Sinclair....................0 barrels
BP/Phillips..............0 barrels
Hess........................0 barrels
ARC0.......................0 barrels

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where they get their oil and how much they are importing.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers.

It's really simple to do.

Now, don't wimp out at this point... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I'm sending this note to about thirty people.

If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)... and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) ... and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers!

If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!

If it goes one level further, you guessed it ..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION
PEOPLE!!!
Again, all you have to do is send this to 10 people.

How long would all that take?

If each of us sends this e-mail out to ten more people within one day, all 300 MILLION people could conceivably be contacted within the next eight days!

Ugh. This is such BS.

95% of the gas stations in this state gets gas from one of the few refineries that we have here. My dad's Mobil/Lukoil station gets almost all of it's gas from the Valero refinery. Most of the gas station brands in this country are owned by 3-5 major corporations.

Lukoil owns part of the Mobil Brand, but they aren't bringing over their own gas....yet. That's their final plan, to ship over refined fuel from the motherland. Avoid US refineries all together.

Lukoil is a totally independant, publicly traded Russian company. In terms of proven oil reserves, it is second only to Exxon/Mobil. Lukoil acquired Getty to gain a toehold in the US market. They have now purchased the Mobil stations on the east coast (which Exxon/Mobil had already sold to ConocoPhilips).

LUKOIL Subsidiary Getty Petroleum Marketing Inc. Closes Deal to Acquire Gasoline Stations from ConocoPhillips.

East Meadow, NY, May 21, 2004 …Getty Petroleum Marketing Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of OAO LUKOIL, announced its acquisition of 779 Mobil-branded gasoline stations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania from ConocoPhillips. According to the terms of this transaction, Getty Petroleum Marketing Inc. has acquired 308 Mobil branded fee and lease properties plus contracts to supply an additional 471 Mobil branded locations. Collectively, these sites generate over 1.1 billion gallons of gasoline sales annually and will more than double the amount of Getty's current light product sales in the United States.

Founded in 1991, LUKOIL is one of the world’s largest vertically integrated oil companies and currently ranks second in the world in terms of proven reserves. As a publicly traded company, LUKOIL is the most diversified Russian oil company and the first to have ventured abroad to make a significant commitment to the U.S. market. LUKOIL is Russia's number one petroleum refiner and with this acquisition, has more than 4,700 gasoline stations worldwide and over 2,000 outlets in the United States. It is publicly traded on numerous international stock exchanges and most recently was listed on the London Stock Exchange.

all this gas **** cracks me up. does anyone actually think that where the gas comes from has anything at all to do with price?
all of the companies listed that don't use saudi oil charge the same at teh pump as those who do, all of the companies using ethanol that costs much less to refine are charging the same as those who don't.
they know we have no choice but to buy gas. so they will continue to charge us as much as they can get away with. that is the simple truth of any of product on any shelf in any store you have ever visited. the only difference is that you can't get around buying gas the way you can spending money on designer jeans.

i forgot to put one more little nugget of knowledge in my post, the companies that don't use arab oil, use south american oil. all of the south american companies and even the good ol' USA are members of OPEC, so all the oil comes out costing the same, no matter where you ship it in from.

Yes, Conoco/Phillips and Exxon/Mobil are all part of the same company, but that list says that Conoco/Phillips uses no middle eastern oil, while Exxon/Mobil does.

That takes me back to my previous statement, which is that not every Mobil station gets all of its gas from a Mobil refinery. My dad's Mobil/Lukoil station usually gets their gas from the Valero refinery. They all make deals with each other based on their location, not brand names.

First of all, regardless of where the oil comes from, IT IS ABOUT THE MONEY. Do you know that Exxon/Mobil made a 84 billion dollar profit last year or something to that effect. It is call supply and demand. The basic law of economics. We demand it and they can charge all they want because we rely on it so much that we would pay whatever the cost is, regardless of how much we complain. it is OPEC's and the treehuggers fault. OPEC is the one making up this damn number. Who cares if the price of crude oil goes up to 76 bucks when most of the OPEC companies dont even use that. It is all a scam. Another problem lies inthe fact we have all this reserve oil but we cant get it refined because, the EPA wont allow us to build any more refinaries to up the output. the EPA wont let us and canada drill into the HUGE oil fields that were discovered in northern canada and Alaska, sayin we will kill the envirnoment. Hmm get over it, IT IS JUST F%^^%^N ICE!!!!!With all the new technologies around, the EPA laws are outdated. Since we havent any new buildings and refinaries since I believe the 70's, how are they going to know. Goes for the same with nuclear power.

Like I said it is all about the money

I really do not like the EPA at all :). they are a bunch of idealist ******** who want to form society to they want it to be. they are power hungry. The really dont care about the enviroment, they just use that as a fascade to hide the real meaning behind it all, POWER AND MONEY. if let up, they will lose power and you know people in power want 2 things, more power and keep power. the gas prices are high because of the power struggle between them and we get the shaft.
