July 15, 2006...Dover Air Force Base

For those that might be interested....

Del Rods Car Club does a show at the museum on the Dover Air Force Base on July 15th. I talked with the president of the club and he said a GREAT family day with planes on display for everyone to enjoy. Usually draw in the neighborhood of 150+ cars. The museum is open for tours. Quite an active place. Right up the road from there is Dover Downs where the NASCAR circut runs. First thing you'll notice are all the AF planes taking off and landing. The locals don't even hear them anymore. :)

Easy place to get to, but its almost a 4 hour drive from Central NJ.

Yea, it's about 2 hours for me. But with the car out (for me), the planes out for display (for the kids), and no wife, I'M THERE!!! :D
