Can you honestly tell the difference between spring water brands?, I know I can tell poland springs and tap water apart from other water brands but everything else I cant.

Tap water tastes better to me. Spring water tastes like plastic.

I can definitely tell the difference. Fiji would have to be my favorite spring water, followed closely by Volvic, which is a French imported brand. Dannon and Poland Spring taste similar. All Purified water like Aquafina and Dasani tastes like **** to me.

I wont drink tap water. The ONLY time I dont drink filtered water is if Im out on a job and a hose is the only thing available and Im dyin of thirst. I truly believe that unfiltered tap water is a BIG reason for sickness and some diseases today. Laugh all you want, but think of the amount of chemicals that are in your water. We once tested the tap water at my parents old house years ago, because it smelled pretty strong... turned out to have MORE chlorine than our pool, and the PH was way off. Now, do you really think the human body is meant in injest chlorine, among other things?

Besides tap water, the only other water I'll drink is Dannon flavored water. There is no reason I should be paying money for water

You pay money for water unless you find your own spring.

:stupid:

i drink dasani when im at work cuz its cheap ($1 for 1 litre, while 20 oz is $1.29 figure that one out  ) but i can tell the difference between certain filtered/spring waters and the filtered/spring waters and tap water. i actually think the best deal is to get one of those faucet filters if you drink alot of water

I have well water and it tastes like crap. It actually tastes like a stell foundry lol. Now with bottled water pretty much aquafina, poland spring and deer park, taste the best. Dannon and any store name bottled water, aka shopr rite. america choice, tastes just like tap water. the best value really is buying a brita filter inline or pitcher. seems to get rid most of the stuff it says, or did what we did we bought a cooler from deer park and have the water dilvered to us. Well i rather buy bottled water then to drink soda AKA battery acid or anything with high sugar and chemical compounds.

I can tell the difference betwen flavors, one of my favorite is Voss, but that's hard to find around here, after that is Dasani (which is not springwater its purified water with minerals added), then aquafina, polands spring/deer park. I stay away from Wissahickeon (sp?), that stuff tastes aweful and it gives me a horrid headache.

ok you people who are spending like 2 bucks on a 20 oz bottle of water do realize you are just drinking tap water with a label on it right???

LMAO this is the biggest scam in the world to me. If you want to filter your water go ahead and get a filter attached like a brita or something, but don't waste your money on tap water run through a filter and get raped out the ass for it.

Or wait you really do think they travel to antarctica to find an iceberg that's been frozen for thousands of years and tow it to a secret location to thaw it out and bottle it just for you... bwahahahahahah!!!!!

:stupid: Drink tap water at a young age, you learn to become immune to most of the bad elements. I have no complaints with tap water here.

And Paul, COLA? Gimme a case of Corona :-D

Apparently Noah never saw Super Troopers.

Water from an Ice Burg...yeah, that would be the best water, since its only been frozen for some hundred thousand years, trapping lord knows what in the ice...mmm, drink up.

I have a Brita pitcher at home, and I usually just carry around a water bottle and keep refilling it from the pitcher. At work I can't get any spring water, just Aquafina @ $1.25 a bottle, so I live with the tap water they have here.

Yeah, pretty much all the bottled waters are nothing more than filtered city water. Huge scam that people continue to overpay for. We have an Equinox filter system at home and it tastes better than any bottled water. I think I drank 10-15 glasses yesterday and sweated out about 15-20.

I grew up on bottled water because the city water we were getting was worse than the well water they said was contanimated and made us switch to city. I can't stand tap water, filtered or not. We have a filter on our tap now (we have a well), and I can't stand the taste. Even at my dad's, where the well water was treated and flitered before it got to the tap, I couldn't stand it.

I prefer Poland Spring, Aquafina, or Dasani. And Dannon does NOT taste the same as Poland Spring, otherwise I could save a little money.

And yes, you could give me 2 bottles of tap vs bottled, unlabled, and I'd know the difference. I'd know the difference between a few of the brands as well (like store brand vs PS or something).

Here is a test for you to see if you think you can taste the difference between water brands. Get 20 cups have someone number each of them and put tap water in 19 cups then have that person put your favorite bottled water in the last cup. Chill them in the frig to the same temp and see if you can guess which one is your favorite bottled water by sampling all of them. You can also do this with 10 different types of bottled water in ten cups and guess what is what. I've done this study before and the results are pretty much a flop for people who think they can taste the difference.

James has refilled my water jugs with tap water (filtered through the Pur on the faucet) and put it in the fridge after finishing the bottled water. I took one sip and immediately knew.

im in agreement.... water is water is water. ANY taste that water has, comes from the minerals inside it- lots of minerals= that "taste" that everyone here mentions. They've done this with sodas too- put a blindfold on and pinch your nostrils together and try to tell the difference between sprite and coke- they'll both taste like sugared water without the ability to smell. Since water has no smell, imagine doing that same test with water..... it'd be stupid. But even WITHOUT the hinderances of the soda test, I guarantee anyone here, and I'd even bet them 20 bucks, that if we did that test you wouldn't get more than 25% of them right (if even that), just on the luck of the draw.

Answer= water is water is water. Minerals----- are what make the difference. That's why you can have one bottle of poland spring one day (and have it "taste" bad), and then the next day have it "taste" great- different mineral consistencies.
