There are some more articles on GMI about Toyota. Toyota wants #1 real bad, but they might take some big hits before they reach for the crown.

yeah but, all those recalls are on their newer hybrid cars which is really new considering how long we have been using gas. so u cant expect their new hybrid cars to be perfect

your completely wrong....

the first link is for dashboard clips (shady interior that everyone hates on gm about) NOTHING to do with hybrid or gas

the second link is for a scion sunroof, once again, nothing to do with hybrid or gas

the third link is for steering, nothing to do with hybrid or gas

same for the axles and transmisions of the next two links

so basically not a single article posted was about hybrid drivetrains but that was your defense of toyota, next time read before replying to a thread

The hyrbid's have there own problem with exploding batteries, but this is about Toyota's, mostly new and there is an investigation by the US Govt that Toyota Execs knew of problems and did not want to solve them.

Surprisingly enough, I actually saw these recalls on the news this morning (Fox 5), and 1 for nissan, too, after seeing them on GMI yesterday. Usually anything I see about a toyota recall on GMI never makes it to to the mainstream news. The jackass that reported it was a financial correspondant and said, "Interestingly, these recalls are for japanese cars"....implying that they 'never' have recalls.

I love it! How many people I know I have to listen to them ALL the time, "Toyota is the best," and "Toyotas never have any problems." Just wish the media would stop lambasting the domestics and cover some of the obvious issues imports have.

to be fair, you cant really beat an older toyota, like mid 90s. they just seem to never break. looks like theyre having some problems now though

Thats great for mid 90s Toyotas.
Its what they make now that makes the difference.
