How old is the CD player?
Older car CD players weren't as well equipped to handle bumps and vibrations as most of the newwer ones are. I have a 4 year old Pioneer (DEH-P4300) in my car, and I have to go over a pretty serious bump to make the CD skip.
It might help if you cleaned the laser too, if that hasn't been done in a while (or ever.....).

Something like this: Lens Cleaner (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00000J1QS/sr=8-1/qid=1152834295/ref=pd_bbs_1/104-6006917-1511144?ie=UTF8)

yea i think so why??????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????:?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
Thats why I stay away from most Kenwood products. Hit a pebble in the road and the cd skips. I used to have one in my old formula.

most skipping problems are due to improper mounting
