I'm not working outside, but it seemed ok out today. It is going to get much worse (humid) all next week. 97* and high humid I heard for next Wed. Maybe even Jeff will turn on the AC.

[waits for jeff to say how he hasnt turned on the AC all year and that we're a bunch of spoiled kids, or something along those lines ]

2 more pieces and Im done this side... of course theyre the peak of the roof pieces so theyre the hardest to cut. Im gonna trim the back, slap the starter strip on and probably call it a day, or atleast wait till it cools off some.

And yeah, being a tan Italian sucks for attacting heat... but atleast I dont usually ever burn. :) It must SUCK to be black in this weather!

I had to use an extra blanket last night because it got so cool with the fan in the window! :cold: I can't wait for it to warm up so I can get rid of that extra blanket. Heck, I drove the black SS396 into work today. It doesn't get any better than sitting in a black car with a big block! They say the temp was 85 with a heat index of 103 around lunch time. And the forecast for Monday is 99 with a heat index of 103???? Hmmm, if it's 14 degrees warmer I think the heat index would be a little higher too. These weather folks crack me up.

I worked in a warehouse in this weather last year, loading furniture like 400lb desks into trailers, i know just how you guys feel when it comes to walking in one... u forget to scan a box and the you have to go check, takes about 4 minutes before the sweat takes over the glasses and u cant see. Today i was mowing the farms field.... i was trying to raise the bucket on the front end loader to block the sun.... was horrible

It's actually not that hot yet. Monday will really kick up heat. Last night it was nice, got down to 65 and cooled the house nicely. Monday and Tuesday will be the test of how long we can hold out without the AC on. The amount of sun will determine that.

I was at my uncles house playing horseshoes all day yesterday and just standing there made me sweat.

I seriously think I lost a good 2 pounds from sweating so much.

Today wasn't bad. It only got up to 89 downstairs in the house. It was at least 92 upstairs but it's already cooling down now. Might have to turn the AC on tomorrow so the dog doesn't lose it. I'll wait until later tonight or first thing in the morning to turn it on. At least it isn't really that humid. I sure hope we don't have any power outages due to all the people who have been running their AC since it got up to 75 degrees! :rollseye:

Frosty
07-16-2006, 07:20 PM
Yeah it wasn't humid out which was nice, still hot though.

I laugh at people that run to their AC when it's over 75-80 degrees. Hell even in that weather I see people with convertible cars with the tops up, windows up and the AC on  We've become a society of pansy asses lol.

Rob WS6

Ive got a convertible, the ONLY time I use the AC is when its raining and rediculously hot out.

I laugh too... not to mention the ones that ride with their tops down in 40 degree weather (Ive seen some guy with a vert mustang do this, I immediately said "Now thats an *******") Im in a garbage truck with little dinky fans (except for the 3 new ones which have AC which is understandable because its a cabover and your sitting right next to the very hot motor) .... little fans + smelly garbage truck + 100 degree weather + 100% humidity = he11 :-D

Nah, it's not that hot. This isn't really a brutal heatwave like they were predicting. It's going back down to the upper 80's on Wed.

I've been outside doing some yardwork/cleanup after work and it's not nearly as bad as they make it sound. The humidity is actually pretty low. Last night was nice with the windows open and fans going.

Hopefully I make it! Then I gotta wait for the heat to get out and lovely A/C to work its magic!

I thought it was rather clear for HHH. I think the humid isn't here yet. Still, 100* is no picnic.
