So the other day i had to get some stress out and decided to wash and wax the car. I got this stuff called IBIZ or something, i picked it up at the philly auto show, the stuff still amazes me. So i wash it, and begin to use this pro car wax or polish or something. i start on the driver door and work around the rear. And when i get to the front, after all that work the wax.... eats where my headlights sit? my car is a disgusting green with black headlight indents. the 94 style. The wax completely destroyed it. I did not even notice what was going on till i went to whipe it off, and it left streaks and bright white marks all over it. it was no help to my situation. Also ate the tiny bar between the t-tops.. not having a good day.. WHAT DID I DO WRONG!

Pics will help...if there are white streaks after you waxed it and they dont come off wax it again and again and again. your paint absorbed that **** or something along those lines... Ive seen it many times while working for nissan and detailing their stuff. If its not the case then i missed something. show pics...

Souns like you let it dry too long. Try another wax like Mother's Carnuba wax/cleaner and see if it will fix it. Then next time, just get some Zaino. Zaino is by far the best wax or polish I've ever used. It works best on darker colors and hidesfine scratches and there are no swirl marks.

Zaino is good stuff, but too much process for me. Tropi-care is the way to go for me. Do a search on the other fbody forums and you will see some really nice results.

um...i found that cheap wax from wally world and "high quality" dealership wax i used to detail showroom cars with are pretty much the same.

30 minutes and 1 coat of cheap wally world wax - and i say my car looks pretty damn good...

S100 works great for me (I heard it's the same as P21S but costs less and is found at Harley dealers)

with you brando, meguiars clay bar, three step cleaner, polish and wax then a coat of nxt worked great on the acura. Zaino for darker color cars hands down. Alot of work though. 2 cents worth

I seem to do just fine with Meguiars. The only problem I have with it is that it leaves a really bad white line in the seam of stuff... but then again what wax doesnt.

wash the car with DAWN dish detergent , if that dont cut the old wax off and a cap full of white vinegar to a 5 gallon bucket of water and DAWN. It will strip the wav back to the clear coat. To me it sounds like you let it dry too long. Need to do one panel at a time with some of the "fancy" stuff.
