OOOooooooooooo, sorry bro. I hear that isn't pleasant at all. I don't think they numb anything before the procedure.

That's why I don't go to doctors. My tonsils have craters in them and my sinuses have had issues for a couple of years and I probably have a deviated septum as well. I've seen relatives go through all of the stuff and it ain't pretty. Plus, all my mod money goes into cars/beer, not me. Taking the dog to the vet is expensive enough!

the thing is, it couldnt have come at a worse time...ive gotten more MRI's (knees, upper body), x-rays (same), and blood tests (i might have lymes and/or mono) just this summer than most people get in their lifetimes

That's why you don't want to see a doctor! They come up with a ton of problems you might have and send you for tests, x-rays, MRI's and then give you meds you don't need to fix the problems you don't have. They get richer off our medical insurance which keeps getting more and more expensive. Live with the pain and discomfort, or you'll turn into a mussy!
oh, and get out of the AC, that's why you keep getting sick.

see theres a difference...when you have trouble going up a flight of stairs at 19 and you cant raise your arm above your head because the bone grew back thru muscles in your shoulder...just a technicality though lol
a/c...theres only 2 places i am now-a-days, in my car or at work...car a/c? ha...i work outside
oh, and get out of the AC, that's why you keep getting sick.
um...somehow i doubt thats thre reason, last time i was sick i was 11 or 12 and i love A/C so yea that doesnt count.

If they want to operate I would get a second opinion first. But dont take the first docs opinion especially if he wants to operate.get that second opinion!!!

Would it knock down any med costs if the breaking was done prior to your arrival at the doctor's??? :D

I dont like doctors, but when theirs some **** that happens you just plain and simple gotta go. money isnt a reason why you should be sick and possibly die.
Good luck man, and like stated above get the second opinion

Eric which ENT do did you see, chance are i might know him...but tonsils take no time at all to heal (never had it done but numerous family members) and my uncle just fixed his deviated septum and he says he breathes 20x better now...but in the end its your call...
ps- the prescriptions they give should ease your pain ALOT!!!

Nope, I guess not. He is a good surgeon though. He removed polyps from my dad's sinuses a few years ago, and my dad's recovery time was about half of what others told him it would be.

Dude, it was 59 degrees last night. If you were sweating then you need to get out from under that fat chick!
Eric, good to hear you're not in too much pain. Farzad wouldn't give me meds when I had a throat problems. He just ordered up some allergy medicine which did nothing for me. Beer fixed the problem though.

That's cool. I haven't been to see him in about a year and a half. I think if I walk into his office again he's gonna tie me down and cut out the tonsils right there.
