I don't see why you'd want a locker (truetrac is a locker, right??)

by the way justin call me, I tried your number and some guy said i have the wrong number

A truetrac is a gear type limited slip differential.

You want a locker for a car that sees street and strip use but will burn up a posi.

Right, his car is a daily driver v6, not gonna mandate a locker and a locker would just be a PITA with driveability in his case, it was more of a personally-directed question as opposed to a broad, any-sitation question.

But with it being a gear type, that doesn't matter at all now does it

Doh.

You got me there.

If it's just a sixer I'm sure a take-off Zexel Torsen or even an Auburn would be up to the task.

I dunno about that, I have had my share of bad luck with take-offs

ive got one in my 9in...although its not daily driven it has seen street and track use...i have no complaints...its not noisy,it hasnt burned up after 4k rpm clutch dumps, and the car hooks and launches straight...

Street Strip - Auburn Race or Eaton

Auto X street - T2r

whats the deal with torsen t2rs with drag racing? do they lock up when theres a big torque load?

Auburn and Eaton clutch system are better for the drag strip vs the gears of the t2r.

I run Auburns, but the eaton is nice because you can rebuild them.

i think i'm gonna try the T2r anyway in my 10 bolt. if you go on Torsen's website they have cutouts and diagrams of it... it sounds awesome! i cant wait to give it a whirl
