Someone will probably know a shop that is closer, but CKPerformance on Long Island does top notch work.

We can get the parts so no worries about that.. Some kits require internal modifications to the trans in addition to the valve body.. So a full rebuild may be suggested so that the trans will be up to the task..

Oh, and obviously a decent shifter like a quarter stick and a driveline that can take that beating....

Like I said most likely there would have to be some internal modifications to the trans so it would have to come out and apart. Your shift kit is going to be pretty much worthless since the valve body is going to be completly replaced. There are also other upgrades that must be done to the trans that may not have been done.. (ie. HD sun shell, good clutches, HP pump, etc. etc.) Without having your trans here and apart it is impossible to know how much it will cost. In essence we cant just "bolt in" the trans brake valve body, the trans should be built for it if you want it to last any significant amount of time.

i made two calls as i am a dealer with to neal chance ( Pro MOD Convertor guy ) and carl morow (TSR Racing ) who wrote the book on powerglides and torque flights both told me its a waste of time a 700 trans is for the most part a light weight pass car unit at best both said a 400 would do the job and a glide if you are real about racing, the 700 units dogs in the case bust off and the fluid flow while on trans brake has a bad path so fluid temp is way high and foamy the car will never launch the same twice and will never last more than 25 / 50 passes anyway they see them also split the pump housing in 1/2 from the backed up pressure 5000 on the convertor but some one will tell you they know someone who has one thats works i am sure but you will be throwing your money in the air jz

There is a reason no one makes the transbrake for those transmissions any more.

I have one in my car (700r4 that is) and I foot brake it. This is my third hi-perf rebuild so far. Next time I'm going TH350. Soooo much cheaper.
